Dez anos da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos : avanços e próximos passos

Abstract

Resumo: Dez anos depois da implantação da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos (PNRS) no Brasil, ainda são diversas as evidências de que os resultados pós PNRS não foram tão eficientes quanto o esperado. Ainda há uma carência de disseminação de informação sobre o assunto e ademais, um desprovimento de atenção para a importância do funcionamento da política adequadamente. Este trabalho apresenta informações afim de familiarizar o leitor com a PNRS, bem como, com seus objetivos, pilares principais e pontos de melhoria de execução no Brasil. Nele, são abordadas práticas de redução de resíduos, apresentando os conceitos de Responsabilidade Compartilhada e Logística Reversa e expostos os problemas e desafios a serem enfrentados para o bom funcionamento da PNRS no nosso país, comparando-a com as políticas públicas em vigência no tocante global

Abstract: Ten years after the implementation of the National Solid Wast Policy in Brazil, there is still ample evidence that the results after PNRS were not as afficient as expected. There is still a lack of dissemination of information on the subject and, in addition, a lack of attention to the importance of the proper functioning of the policy. This work presents information in order to familiarize the reader with the PNRS, as well as, with its objectives, main pilars and points of improvement in execution in Brazil. It will discuss waste reduction practices, present the concepts of Shared Responsability and Reverse Logistics and expose the problems and challenges to be faced for the proper functioning of the PNRS in our country, comparing it with public policies globally
