Onde em nós a casa mora : notas sobre paisagem e subjetividade no romance Terra sonâmbula, de Mia Couto

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa tem como eixo central o estudo da paisagem e as subjetividades presentes no romance Terra Sonâmbula, de Mia Couto. Nesse sentido, abordaremos temáticas que nos possibilitem o estudo das paisagens fornecidas pelas narrativas que compõem a obra como meio para as subjetividades. Aspectos da cultura ancestral (rituais sagrados, cerimônias, maldições, premonições, etc) o contexto histórico do pós-independência e a subsequente guerra civil, bem como as dimensões da memória no processo de constituição da identidade são objetos de discussões e análises que serão desenvolvidas ao longo da dissertação. Dessa forma, a pesquisa divide-se em três partes: a apresentação sobre o autor e obra, sublinhando a relevância de sua fortuna crítica e as constribuições da temática para os seus estudos; noções acerca dos conceitos de paisagem enquanto resultado do processo de interação entre o sujeito e o seu meio; e a sistematização dos episódios incorporados nas duas narrativas que constituem Terra Sonâmbula, através dos personagens centrais – Tuahir e Muidinga; a estrada e o Machimbombo; e o jovem Kindzu – por meio dos Cadernos encontrados. O diálogo proposto nessa pesquisa é pautado nos estudos de importantes teóricos, tais como: Pires Laranjeira (2001), Fernanda Cavacas (2002), Stuart Hall (2006), Lev Vygotsky (1993), Tim Ingold (2013), Rita Chaves (2004), Benedict Anderson (2008), Jacques Le Goff (1984), Márcio Cantarin (2012), Paul Zumthor (1997), Joel Candau (2016), Hampâté-Bâ (1982), Homi K Bahbha (1998), Antonio Candido (2000), Ana Mafalda Leite (2003); Marc Augé (1992), Maurice Halbwachs (1990), dentre outros. Dessa maneira, pretende-se compreender de que forma a obra de Mia Couto possibilita a narrativa poética do horror, a penumbra e o medo por meio de elementos que constituem episódios marcados pela subjetividade de um universo que percorre entre a poesia do sonho e a violência da guerra, contribuindo para a construção da identidade dos sujeitos no solo moçambicano

Abstract: This research has as its central objective the study of the landscape and the subjectivities present in the novel Terra Sonâmbula, by Mia Couto. In this sense, we will address themes that allow us to study the landscapes provided by the narratives that make up the work as a means for subjectivities. Aspects of ancestral culture (sacred rituals, ceremonies, curses, premonitions, etc.), the historical context of the post-independence period and the subsequent civil war, as well as the dimensions of memory in the process of identity constitution are the objects of discussions and analyses that will be developed throughout the dissertation. Thus, the research is divided into three parts: the presentation of the author and work, underlining the relevance of his critical fortune and the contributions of the theme to his studies; notions about the concepts of landscape as a result of the process of interaction between the subject and his environment. and the systematization of the episodes incorporated in the two narratives that constitute Terra Sonâmbula, through the central characters - Tuahir and Muidinga; the road and the Machimbombo; and the young Kindzu - through the Notebooks found. In this way, it is intended to understand how Mia Couto's work enables the poetic narrative of horror, penumbra and fear through elements that constitute episodes marked by the subjectivity of a universe that runs between the poetry of dreams and the violence of war, contributing to the construction of the identity of the subjects on Mozambican soil
