This work proposes a reading of the processes of subjectivation triggered by neoliberalism from the constitution of a regime of sensibility and the unequal sharing of sensibility and affective experimentation, using this lens to explain the erosion of modern democracy in the face of the advances of the neoliberal project. The approach will be based on the dialectical method, which allows the structuring of the research in two parts. In the first part, the first three chapters reveal the positive (affirmative) moment, while chapter 4 (part II) constitutes the negative (critical) moment. This path follows the methodology already known from Dussel’s works, especially in Ethics and in the 20 Theses of Politics. The last chapter will have a propositional horizon, updating Dussel’s architectonics. The fundamental question involves at least three aspects: i) how do the strategies of neoliberalism articulate to dominate (from) the categories of time and space and why are they so important? ii) what is the consequence of this articulation and what is the subsequent field invested by this project and what role does a certain psychological engineering play in terms of governmentality and construction of subjectivity? iii) what are the pillars of modern democracy and what relation does its crisis, which is also a crisis of fundamental human rights, have with the neoliberal project? The starting point, confirmed by the research, is that there is a phenomenon that invades the public and private spheres, takes over the state, reconfigures them, reaches the family and the individual and makes them think, act, desire and choose differently. This phenomenon that tries to account for totality is neoliberalism. To think about it, we will investigate certain dynamics that allow us to affirm that a society is formed by more than the circulation of goods and wealth, but is, mainly, a circuit of political affects. Such circuits are capable of political transformation, but also of reversal and maintenance of a certain order. Therefore, the Law is not only the legal formatting that enunciates certain unquestionable dogmas, but is an instrument used as a mechanism to mobilize or cool down the political affects, such as fear and melancholy, in such a way that no economic project, especially neoliberalism, would be able to impose and sustain itself without a broader reconfiguration of social life. Such a project needs, first, to control the forms of sensibility, to make certain affects circulate and, consequently, to trigger processes of subjectivation and to affect the future of the bodies. It needs this apparatus to depoliticize society and make its members governable. Power melancholizes and that is how it subdues. Therefore, neoliberalism will also be thought in its subjective, political and social dimensions, which will compose what Laval and Dardot call the new reason of the world. However, the present work will demonstrate how neoliberalism, more than establishing a new rationality, engenders a new sensibility, from a subjective war through which it transforms the mode of experimentation of the world and impacts on the spatialtemporal relation, reorganizing the regime of sensibility and access to the world (its transcendental aesthetics)
