Abstract: The present research had as main objective to present an analysis, through the use of the methodology of comparative literature, of the main poems of the author of Ancient Greece, Safo de Lesbos and of the author of Portuguese Modernism/Decadentism, Judith Teixeira. The focus of this analysis was to evaluate the presence of expression elements of female homoeroticism in two historical moments very distant in time, while taking into account the specific characteristics of each sociocultural context. After the analysis, it was possible to conclude that, although the two writers lived in such different historical and social contexts, there is a lot of similarity (and also some differences) between the poetry they produced, in relation to how they expressed romantic love in their visions between women, mainly due to the literary influence that the first exerted on the second and the "bridge" established between the two by the French poet Renée Vivien, who would have provided Judith Teixeira with access to translated fragments of Safo's work.
