Ensino e pesquisa : a relação básica na qualidade da formação do profissional de nivel superior

Abstract

Resumo: O tema em pauta diz respeito à relação entre ensino e pesquisa na universidade, como condição para assegurar a qualidade na formação dos profissionais de nivel superior. 0 trabalho apresenta uma critica às funções da universidade brasileira, entendidas sob a perspectiva do "tripé" ensino, pesquisa e extensão. A partir desta critica, a reflexão apoiase na relação entre as atividades de ensino e de pesquisa, enfatizando a importância desta última, para a construção de uma universidade comprometida com a emancipação do homem e da sociedade. Neste sentido, a relação ensino/pesquisa é compreendida numa postura dialética, uma vez que a simples interação por justaposição destas atividades na instituição, limitam a possibilidade da construção de sujeitos críticos e criativos. Por conseguinte, a partir da compreensão da pesquisa como principio científico e educativo (DEMO, 1990b), ela é vista como atividade essencial na universidade. Diante disto, a relação ensino/pesquisa é problematizada na realidade brasileira de um modo geral, e, mais especificamente, na Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa - UEPG. Nesta última, foi realizado um estudo, de caráter qualitativo, com o objetivo de apontar o paradigma de universidade que orienta suas atividades, ou seja, esclarecer como a pesquisa é entendida no cotidiano da prática da UEPG.

Abstract: The theme is concerned about the relation between teaching and research at the university, as condition of guarantee the quality of higher up professional formation. This work shows a critique for brazilian university functions, understanding in this perspective of standing "teaching, research and extension". Through this critique the reflection supports the relation between education activities and from the research; emphasizing the importance of the search for the growth of the university linked with the emancipation of the human being and of the society. In this meaning, the relation teaching/research has been understood in a dialectic manner, because the simple interation by juxtaposition of theses activities in the institution limits the possibility of the development from critic and creative persons. Therefore through the comprehesion of the research as cientific and educative source (DEMO, 1990b), is considered as essential activity at the university. The relation education/research is in general treated in brazilian reality and specifically at Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa - UEPG. In this university was held a study in qualitative way, with the purpose of pointing the pattern of university that orientates the activities, or how the research is understood in the quotidian of practicing from UEPG.
