A formação do professor no ensino superior : a questão das licenciaturas da UNIVALI – Letras – História e Geografia

Abstract

Resumo: O presente estudo tem como objeto de análise a evolução histórica do processo de formação do professor no ensino superior, buscando compreender as licenciaturas e seus problemas. O propósito fundamental desse trabalho é de contribuir para o conhecimento das características que essa formação vem assumindo, quais seus condicionantes e possíveis alternativas frente à situação atual. A pesquisa também fez uma reflexão crítica sobre a importância dos cursos de licenciatura e seus reflexos na formação do professor, com proposições quanto a sua operacionalidade futura e consequente melhoria. Enfim, a estrutura desse trabalho segue, de certa forma, passos que possam expressar as relações do contexto social e educacional com a formação do professor na universidade.

Abstract: This study analyses the historical evolution of the process of qualifying teachers in the Higher Education, seeking to understand the graduation courses and their problems. The essential purpose of this study is to contribute to the comprehension of the features that this graduation course is taking on, which its premises are and possible alternatives in relation to the present situation. Furthermore, the research tries to make a critical reflection about the significance of the graduation courses and their reflection on the teachers' qualification, aiming ultimately at their future capacity and consequent improvement. Finally, the framework of this study somehow follows the steps that may express the relation of the social and educational context with the formation of the teachers at the university.
