Aventuras do magistério : a Revista do Professor, Porto Alegre/RS, e as representações na seção

Abstract

Resumo: Criada em 1984, pela Editora CPOEC (Centro de Pesquisas e Orientações a Exames e Concursos), em um momento de redemocratização política do país (pós-Ditadura civilmilitar), a Revista do Professor, de Porto Alegre/RS, que pretendia informar, orientar, interpretar fatos e ideias e divulgar novos conhecimentos, rapidamente foi consumida em todo o país, principalmente pelos professores da Educação Básica. Esta pesquisa conta a sua história e apresenta ao leitor as representações que derivam dos quadrinhos da seção de humor "Aventuras do Professor Magistério", destacando como foram apresentadas, pela perspectiva humorística, as diferentes e ao mesmo tempo peculiares experiências do ofício do professor. Considerando o recorte temporal deste trabalho, de 1985 (publicação de seu primeiro número) até 2011 (mudança da equipe editorial), por meio da análise das 108 edições do periódico em questão, a pesquisa objetivou: observar o contexto que envolveu o lançamento, a organização e a manutenção da Revista do Professor; mapear os principais objetivos do periódico, por meio da análise de seus editoriais; apresentar brevemente suas seções (para aproximar o leitor do seu conteúdo); e, finalmente, analisar os quadrinhos que compõem a coluna de humor da Revista. Diversos autores contribuíram para o estudo: Denice Barbara Catani e Maria Helena Camara Bastos (História da educação e imprensa de educação e ensino), Dominique Maingueneau (Análise do discurso), Henri Bergson (História do humor), Michael Baxandall (Análise das imagens humorísticas), Peter Burke (História cultural e imagem), Roger Chartier (História cultural, imprensa, imagem e representação), Tania Regina de Luca (História da imprensa brasileira), para citar apenas alguns. É com a contribuição desses autores e a análise sistemática dos quadrinhos (a partir da observação da trajetória do personagem Professor Magistério) que esta pesquisa buscou entender algumas representações e estereótipos do professor, do seu ofício e as situações que o docente se depara no exercício de sua profissão, já que, como produção cultural, a Revista do Professor pode ter influenciado um bom número de docentes, que, muitas vezes, internalizaram o seu discurso considerando-o como seu. Abstract: Revista do Professor, a journal created in 1984 by CPOEC (Centro de Pesquisas e Orientações a Exames e Concursos), a press center of research and guidelines to tests and public contests, in a time of political redemocratization in Brazil (after the civil-military dictatorship period) in Porto Alegre/RS, which stands for informing, guiding, interpreting facts and ideas and disseminating new knowledge, was quickly consumed all over the country, mainly by Elementary School teachers. This study tells its history and presents to the reader the representations from the comics of the amusing section called Aventuras do Professor Magistério ["Adventures of Professor Magisterium"], emphasizing how the different and simultaneously peculiar experiences of the teachers' profession were showed by a humorous perspective. Considering the time cutting of this research, from 1985 (publication of its first volume) until 2011 (editorial staff change), by means of analyzing 108 editions of the journal, this study aimed at observing the context which surrounded the Revista do Professor release, its organization and maintenance; mapping the most important targets of the journal through the investigation of its editions; presenting briefly its sections in order to bring the reader closer to its content; and, finally, examining the comics designed to the comic column of the Journal. Many authors contributed to this study: Denice Barbara Catani and Maria Helena Camara Bastos (History of education and education and teaching press), Dominique Maingueneau (Discourse analysis), Henri Bergson (History of the comic), Michael Baxandall (Comic images examination), Peter Burke (Cultural history and images), Roger Chartier (Cultural history, press, images and representations), Tania Regina de Luca (Brazilian press history), just to mention some of them. This is with the contribution of those authors and the systematic analysis of the comics (through observing the Professor Magisterium's trajectory as a character) that this research intended to understand some representations and stereotypes of teachers and their profession, as well as the situations in which educators were involved when working, taking into account that Revista do Professor, as a cultural production, may have influenced a great number of teachers who internalized its discourse many times, taking it as their own discourse.
