Semântica e discurso em diálogo : uma análise do enunciado

Abstract

Resumo: O termo "preconceito", desde seu surgimento, tem uma carga negativa: e feio ser preconceituoso, uma vez que prevalece o discurso de respeito as diferencas. Entretanto, por ser considerado feio, o preconceito assumiu formas sutis de se manifestar, principalmente no que diz respeito ao contexto brasileiro. Por isso, urge a necessidade de pesquisas interpretativas que possam demonstrar como esse preconceito acontece de forma sutil. Nosso trabalho se inscreve numa perspectiva discursiva para analisar comentarios de Facebook que apresentam um enunciado como "nao tenho preconceito, mas..." a fim de compreender o quao preconceituoso eles sao e por que o sujeito enuncia dessa forma. Para tanto, utilizamos conceitos da Analise do Discurso, como a nocao de ethos discursivo, descrevemos as condicoes de producao dos comentarios que sao analisados, passando rapidamente por discussoes sobre preconceito, homofobia, discurso polemico e linguagem violenta nas redes socias e sobre os beneficios do desacordo na democracia. Ainda apresentamos uma proposta para a descricao da conjuncao "mas" baseadas nos estudos tradicionais de Vogt e Ducrot (1980). Interpretamos, por fim, que, embora o sujeito que enuncia "nao tenho preconceito, mas..." vise um ethos tolerante para defender sua imagem de um possivel ataque de seu interlocutor, ele acaba produzindo um ethos intransigente, assim como qualquer outro discurso que nao utilize dessa estrutura fixa. Por outro lado, o sujeito precisa marcar em seu discurso que sua tolerancia e em relacao aos individuos, o que o sujeito nao tolera e a manifestacao social destes individuos. Abstract: The word "prejudice", since its emergence, has a negative meaning: it is bad to be prejudiced, once the discourse of respecting the differences remains in the society. However, as it is considered bad, the prejudice took on many subtle ways of expressing itself, mainly in the Brazilian context. That is why it is necessary to make interpretative researches that can demonstrate how this prejudice happens in a subtle way. Our work is subscribed in a discursive perspective to analyze comments on Facebook that show an statement like "I don't have prejudice, but…" in order to understand how prejudiced they are and why the subject says in this way. Therefore, we use concepts from Discourse Analysis, as the notion of discursive ethos, we describe the production conditions of the analyzed comments, we also talk about discussions about prejudice, homophobia, polemic discourse and violent language on social networks and about the benefits of disagreement in the democracy. Still, we present a suggestion to describe the linking word "but" based on Vogt and Ducrot's (1980) traditional studies. In the end, we interpret that, although the subjects who say "I don't have prejudice, but…" aims an ethos of a tolerant person to guard their image from a possible attack from their interlocutor, they end producing an ethos of an intransigent person, as any other discourse that don't use this same fixe structure. In the other hand, the subjects need to stamp in their discourse that their tolerance is about individuals, what the subjects do not tolerate is the social manifestation of these individuals.
