Produção de palmito pupunha no município de Antonina - PR

Abstract

Resumo : O presente trabalho buscar identificar quais os principais aspectos da produção do palmito pupunha no município de Antonina – PR. Para obter maiores detalhes sobre a produção, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas e entrevistas com produtores e com a Emater do município. Através do estudo realizado e da análise das entrevistas, pode-se verificar que a produção de palmito pupunha vem aumentando consideravelmente, que o município de Antonina é o segundo maior produtor de palmito pupunha do litoral paranaense. Não existe auxílio na compra de insumos; com tudo existem projetos que ajudam os agricultores na produção. As entrevistas com os agricultores mostraram que a maioria nunca havia pensado em trabalhar com a cultura da palmeira pupunha, e produzem a mais de 1 ano, porém não mais que 6 anos. No geral, trabalham apenas com esta cultura, e não pretende cultivar outras espécies; também verificamos que a produção é de pequena escala, mas todos pretendem aumentar a área de produção. Sobre o custo até o primeiro corte é de aproximadamente R$8,00/árvore, não possuem problemas com a compra de insumos, sendo as pragas o maior problema no plantio. Não fazem processamento do palmito, vendendo diretamente para fabricas a um preço por haste entre 2,50 e 5,00 reais, e na maioria sem custo de logística, já que as fábricas vão até a propriedade buscar o palmito. Com isso, conclui-se que a produção do palmito pupunha é viável, há lugar suficiente para escoar toda produção, e que o cultivo desta espécie esta aumentando cada vez mais com o passar dos anos.

Abstract: This work which seek to identify the main aspects of the production of peach palm palm heart in the municipality of Antonina - PR. For more details on production, we were conducted literature searches and interviews with producers and with Emater the municipality. Through the study and analysis of the interviews, it can be seen that the production of peach palm palmetto has increased considerably, which Antonina municipality is the second largest palm producer pupunha the coast of Paraná. There is no aid in the purchase of inputs; with everything there are projects that help farmers in production. Interviews with farmers showed that most had never thought about working with the culture of peach palm palm tree, and produce more than 1 year but not more than 6 years. Overall, only work with this culture, and does not intend to cultivate other species; also we found that the production is small-scale, but all aim to increase the production area. On the cost to the first cut is approximately R $ 8.00 / tree, have no problems with the purchase of inputs, and the plagues the biggest problem in planting. There are palm processing, selling directly to factories at a price per stem between 2.50 and 5.00 reais, and most without logistics cost, as the plants go to the property to seek the palmetto. Thus, it is concluded that the production of peach palm palmetto is feasible, there is room enough to transport the whole production, and that the cultivation of this species is increasing more and more over the years.
