Bullying e a autocontinuidade de adolescentes

Abstract

Resumo: O objetivo do presente estudo foi identificar se existe relação entre a autocontinuidade e os comportamentos de agressão e vitimização entre adolescentes brasileiros, no contexto escolar. Participaram desta pesquisa 352 alunos, do sétimo ano do ensino fundamental até o segundo ano do ensino médio, de cinco escolas públicas da cidade de Curitiba, no Estado do Paraná. Foi conduzida análise sobre a associação entre a agressão e vitimização entre pares e indicadores de autocontinuidade e identificou-se a ocorrência de uma correlação positiva significativa entre as dimensões de agressão direta, relacional e vitimização com a dimensão de descontinuidade. Os resultados apontaram que os estudantes envolvidos nos comportamentos de agressão e vitimização apresentaram altos índices de descontinuidade. São propostos novos estudos para esclarecer algumas questões que surgiram na presente pesquisa, a partir da análise teórica realizada baseada na perspectiva da Teoria Bioecológica do Desenvolvimento Humano. Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine the association between self-continuity and peer victimization in a sample of Brazilian adolescents, regarding the school context. Participants were 352 students, from the seventh grade of elementary school to the second year of high school, enrolled in five public schools in Curitiba, capital of Paraná. The analysis of the association between aggression, victimization and the dimensions of self-continuity revealed a positive and significant association between the dimensions of direct aggression, relational and victimization concerning the dimension of discontinuity. The results stated that the students involved in aggression and victimization behaviors showed higher discontinuity. New studies are suggested to clarify some of the questions still unanswered and that emerged in this study, regarding the theoretical analysis carried out based on the perspective of the Bioecological Theory of Human Development.
