Em busca do rumo da canção brasileira : a prática e a teoria de Luiz Tatit, de 1974 a 2005

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho aborda a trajetória artística e acadêmica de Luiz Tatit, compositor, cantor e estudioso da canção popular brasileira. O período compreendido vai de 1974, com a criação do Grupo Rumo, até 2005, com o aperfeiçoamento do modelo semiótico desenvolvido por ele para a análise da canção. Além de considerações gerais sobre seu trabalho teórico e artístico, são analisadas também algumas de suas canções, a partir das relações que elas estabelecem com aspectos e personagens da commedia dell’arte, tais como o Pierrô e a Colombina, bem como o humor melancólico presente nas letras e na performance vocal de Tatit, principalmente em canções em que a figura da mulher é retratada como personagem central e o eu-lírico apresenta-se de modo apaixonado e ingênuo. São também apresentados estudos sobre a indústria do disco nos anos 1970 e 1980, a Vanguarda Paulista e sobre a reoperacionalização da commedia dell’arte na contemporaneidade, além de ainda comparações do trabalho de cancionista de Luiz Tatit com o de Noel Rosa, a partir da canção "Pierrô apaixonado".

Abstract: This work embraces the artistic and academic trajectory of Luiz Tatit. He was a composer and dilligent researcher of the popoular Brasilian music. The contained period, goes from 1974 with the creation of Grupo Rumo, until 2005, with the improvement of the semi-optic model that was developed by him, for the analysis of the music. Beyond general considerations about his theoretic and artistic work, some of his songs are analyzed as well. These songs are analyzed beginning by their relation with aspects and characters of the Commedia Dell'arte, such as, Pierro and the Colombina. Also analyzed, is the lyric humor that is present in the songs words and the vocal performance of Tatit. Special attention was given to the songs where the woman is mentioned as being the central character and the lyricself is shown in a passionate and altruistic mode. This work also brings studies about the industry of disc-records in the 70's and 80's, related to Paulista Vanguard. The rebirth of the commedia dell'arte in the contemporaneousness plus some comparisons between the work of Luiz Tatit and the work of Noel Rosa, through the song " Pierro Apaixonado" are also part of this dissertation.
