Memorial de projetos : inteligência artificial e visão computacional - entendendo como sistemas computacionais enxergam

Resumo: A Inteligência Artificial é um conceito amplo que abarca um grande número de técnicas e conceitos com um objetivo principal em comum: entender e simular os aspectos principais da inteligência humana. Com base nisso, as disciplinas estudadas no curso de especialização em Inteligência Artificial Aplicada abrangeram desde os aspectos mais técnicos envolvendo a Inteligência Artificial, como a introdução às principais linguagens de programação utilizadas no desenvolvimento de inteligências artificiais, passando por estatística, até o estudo de técnicas mais complexas, como Deep Learning e Visão Computacional; até os aspectos mais reflexivos e filosóficos como a compreensão do que são inteligências artificiais, bem como aspectos éticos, vieses algorítmicos, e o impacto no ambiente de trabalho e sociedade. Este memorial busca destacar uma das subdivisões mais impactantes da Inteligência Artificial: a Visão Computacional, que é um campo extenso e fascinante, e que vem contribuindo com a melhora de processos e com técnicas inovadoras em muitas esferas da sociedade e ainda tem muito a oferecer Abstract: Artificial Intelligence is a broad concept that encompasses a wide range of techniques and ideas with one main common goal: to understand and simulate the key aspects of human intelligence. Based on this, the subjects studied in the specialization course in Applied Artificial Intelligence covered everything from the most technical aspects of AI — such as an introduction to the main programming languages used in artificial intelligence development, and statistics — to more complex techniques like Deep Learning and Computer Vision. The course also explored more reflective and philosophical aspects, such as understanding what artificial intelligences are, as well as ethical issues, algorithmic biases, and their impact on the workplace and society. This report aims to highlight one of the most impactful subdivisions of Artificial Intelligence: Computer Vision — a very broad and fascinating field that has contributed to many areas of society with industrial processes improvement and innovative techniques, and still has much to offer
