Resumo: Os modelos de negócio envolvendo a geração distribuída através da fonte solar fotovoltaica no mercado cativo têm se popularizado e atraído investidores de diferentes perfis e setores da economia nos últimos anos, sobretudo após as recentes regulamentações e incentivos. Este trabalho analisa a estrutura e a dinâmica de funcionamento deste mercado através de aspectos históricos, regulatórios e econômicos, buscando esclarecer as principais dúvidas que permeiam as discussões sobre este tema.
