This work was developed by students and a professor from the Animal Science Program at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), enrolled in the course "Introduction to the Anatomy of Domestic Animals" linked to the Extension Project "Knowing, Respecting, and Producing Poultry: Alternative Teaching Models in the Teaching-Learning Process." It addresses issues that directly affect the marketing of domestic chicken (Gallus gallus) eggs, correlated with questions about the nutritional value of this food. Using brochures, the team questions the target audience on topics that can be considered myths or truth, such as: (1) Proper egg storage by the consumer; (2) Egg washing; (3) Why do two-yolk eggs exist; and (4) Is there a difference in the nutritional value of white or red eggs? In a fun and inclusive way, this pedagogical tool has been effective in demystifying some information about domestic chicken eggs to the public.
