A escrita na educação matemática : perspectivas de alguns protagonistas

Abstract

Resumo: A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o desenvolvimento e a dinâmica das práticas relacionadas à escrita na Educação Matemática no Brasil, por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e narrativas constituídas a partir de entrevistas com pesquisadores. De abordagem qualitativa, o estudo articula o levantamento teórico com a constituição de fontes históricas, mobilizando a História Oral em sua vertente teórico-metodológica, conforme concebida pelo Grupo de História Oral e Educação de Mesquita nesp) e atualmente composto por pesquisadores de diferentes regiões do país. Foram entrevistados seis pesquisadores com experiência no uso da escrita no ensino de Matemática, prática que também se apresenta sob diferentes nomenclaturas, como Escrita Expressiva em Matemática, Escrita Reflexiva em Matemática, Produção de Textos em Matemática e Linguagem Escrita no Ensino da Matemática. Os objetivos específicos incluem compreender a trajetória e os fundamentos dessa prática a partir de seus pioneiros, investigar as motivações que levam pesquisadores a se engajarem nesse campo, explorar suas experiências e analisar o impacto de suas contribuições para a Educação Matemática, além de constituir fontes históricas com base nessas entrevistas. Dessa forma, o estudo busca oferecer um referencial teórico e histórico que subsidie práticas pedagógicas capazes de promover reflexão crítica sobre o ensino e a aprendizagem da Matemática, reconhecendo a escrita como ferramenta essencial para o desenvolvimento de competências docentes e discentes.

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the development and dynamics of practices related to Writing in Mathematics Education in Brazil, through bibliographic research and narratives based on interviews with researchers. Using a qualitative approach, the study combines theoretical research with the creation of historical sources, mobilizing Oral History in its theoretical-methodological aspect, as conceived by the Oral History and Mathematics Education Group (GHOEM), created at the São Paulo State from different regions of the country. Six researchers with experience in the use of writing in mathematics teaching were interviewed. This practice also presents itself under different nomenclatures, such as Expressive Writing in Mathematics, Reflective Writing in Mathematics, Text Production in Mathematics, and Written Language in Mathematics Teaching. The specific objectives include understanding the trajectory and foundations of this practice from its pioneers, investigating the motivations that lead researchers to engage in this field, exploring their experiences and analyzing the impact of their contributions to mathematics education, and building historical sources based on these interviews. Thus, the study seeks to offer a theoretical and historical framework that supports pedagogical practices capable of promoting critical reflection on the teaching and learning of mathematics, recognizing writing as an essential tool for developing teacher and student competencies.
