Anatomia da raposa fantasma : imaginário urbano, moderno e modernismo curitibano em revista

Abstract

Resumo : A partir da Raposa Magazine, revista de ideias, humor e rumor publicada pela Fundação Cultural de Curitiba (FCC) nos anos 1980, este ensaio tem como proposta relacionar a história do jornalismo, publicidade e design gráfico curitibano ao processo de modernização urbana que a cidade viveu nos anos 1970. Partimos da seguinte premissa: com a insuficiência das reformas estruturais dos anos 1940 e 1960, o Estado aposta suas fichas no jornalismo de arte e cultura para inserir Curitiba no circuito das cidades brasileiras modernas. Durante a pesquisa, olho com atenção para os elementos do arcaico e moderno presentes nos textos publicados na revista. Ao final do trabalho, que reconhece sua própria insaciabilidade, atravessamos uma série de discursos e enredos fantasmagóricos que construíram a cidade no imaginário urbano local e nacional, como as tendências contra-tropicais e higienistas da história de formação do Paraná; a fauna local; e as mudanças na estrutura física e propostas urbanas curitibanas nos anos 1970, como as estações tubo e o calçadão da rua XV. Abstract : Based on Raposa Magazine, a magazine of ideas, humour and rumour published by the Curitiba Cultural Foundation (FCC) in the 1980s, this essay aims to relate the history of journalism, advertising and graphic design in Curitiba to the process of urban modernization that the city experienced in the 1970s. We start from the following premise: with the failure of the structural reforms of the 1940s and 1960s, the state bets its chips on art and culture journalism to insert Curitiba into the circuit of modern Brazilian cities. During the research, I looked closely at the elements of the archaic and the modern present in the texts published in the magazine. At the end of the work, which recognizes its own insatiability, we go through a series of discourses and phantasmagorical plots that have constructed the city in the local and national urban imaginary, such as the counter-tropical and hygienist tendencies of Paraná's formative history, the local fauna and the changes in Curitiba's physical structure and urban proposals in the 1970s, such as the tube stations and the Rua XV promenade.
