Comadre São : memória familiar e oralidade

Abstract

Resumo : O documento teórico deste trabalho de conclusão de curso em Jornalismo permitiu a formação da base para a produção do livro-reportagem sobre as memórias familiares revisitadas pela oralidade. A família em questão é a minha família materna. Uma família que, nos anos 1970, deixou para trás a seca e a fome do nordeste de Minas Gerais em busca de uma vida tranquila no Paraná. A tranquilidade, em parte, foi encontrada; já as lembranças do sertão se perderam pelo caminho. Diante desses enormes vácuos na memória, fui até a terra natal para ver como as coisas são e tentar compreender como eram. Este livro-reportagem é o registro de uma viagem até Mato Grande, uma área rural de Minas Novas, no Vale do Jequitinhonha. Um lugar que não aparece nos mapas, mas que, como a localização sugere, está no coração de Minas Gerais. Além do relato da estrada, este livro transita pelas relações entre mães e filhos, vida e morte, pertencimento e deslocamento, desigualdades e trabalho. A obra, Comadre São: memória familiar e oralidade é, sobretudo, uma amostra de que a micro-história invade o macro e vice-versa. Para fundamentar a pesquisa, foram incorporados estudos a respeito do Jornalismo humanizado e subjetivo com as áreas da História Social e da Antropologia. Essa tríade contribuiu na imersão do cotidiano de "pessoas comuns" e suas representações na construção das memórias coletivas. Além disso, este trabalho se debruça nos aspectos da oralidade para compreender e reproduzir a complexa construção narrativa, feita com vocabulários próprios que retratam o sentimento, o passado e a memória como uma cena filmada

Abstract : The theoretical framework of this Journalism undergraduate thesis laid the foundation for the creation of the reportage book on family memories revisited through oral history. The family in question is my maternal family, who, in the 1970s, left behind the drought and hunger of northeastern Minas Gerais, searching for a more tranquil life in Paraná. While some tranquility was achieved, the memories of the ‘sertão’ were lost along the way. Faced with these significant memory gaps, I traveled to my family’s birthplace to see how things are and try to understand how they were. This reportage book documents a journey to Mato Grande, a rural area in Minas Novas, in the Jequitinhonha Valley. It is a place absent from maps but, as its location suggests, it sits in the heart of Minas Gerais. Beyond the travel narrative, this book delves into themes such as relationships between mothers and children, life and death, belonging and displacement, inequality, and labor. The work, Comadre São: Family Memory and Oral History, is, above all, an example of how microhistory influences macrohistory and vice versa. To support the research, studies on humanized and subjective journalism were integrated with the fields of Social History and Anthropology. This triad enabled an immersion into the daily lives of "ordinary people" and their representations in the construction of collective memories. Furthermore, this work explores aspects of oral history to understand and reproduce the complex narrative structure, characterized by unique vocabularies that convey emotion, the past, and memory as if they were cinematic scenes
