Cientistas negras nos cursos de ciências exatas : (re)existências

Abstract

Resumo: A presente tese, produzida no âmbito do Grupo de Estudos Curriculares, Decolonialidade, Diversidade e Subalternidade (GECUDEDIS), teve como objetivo principal produzir sentidos a partir das trajetórias e experiências vividas por um grupo de pesquisadoras negras que atuam nos cursos de Ciências Exatas da UFPR. Em um primeiro momento busca-se articular títulos e resumos de trabalhos socializados no âmbito do Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES (CTD-CAPES), e nos principais eventos na área de Educação em Ciências e em Matemática, Educação e produções de pesquisadores negros, correlacionados à trajetória pessoal e profissional de mulheres negras. Para discussão dos dados obtidos, buscou-se através da Interseccionalidade como Teoria Social Crítica traçar paralelos entre as produções e a intersecção entre gênero, raça, classe entre outros. Em um segundo momento, apresenta-se definições e referenciais teóricos que deem lastro à discussão das trajetórias das pesquisadoras entrevistadas. Para geração dos dados foram realizadas entrevistas narrativas, nas quais procurou-se identificar e discutir elementos de racismo institucional e estrutural, assim como os assédios vividos por essas pesquisadoras tanto em suas vidas pessoais quanto no âmbito profissional. A análise e discussão realizadas foram movimentadas a partir das proposições de referenciais teóricos negros, que tratam das relações interraciais no âmbito institucional, pessoal, bem como as vicissitudes das relações entre pessoas negras e brancas no ambiente acadêmico, com ênfase na perspectiva interseccional. Nesse sentido, a análise das entrevistas narrativas nos permitiu discutir as semelhanças entre suas trajetórias em um local dominado pela cultura cisheteronormativa, branca e patriarcal. Dentre as conclusões, destaca-se que o racismo e o sexismo atuam de forma sistêmica, interseccionando gênero, raça e classe, na trajetória das pesquisadoras negras participantes da pesquisa

Abstract: The present thesis, produced within the scope of the Group of Curricular Studies, Decoloniality, Diversity and Subalternity (GECUDEDIS), had as its main objective to produce meanings based on the trajectories and experiences lived by a group of black women researchers who work in the Exact Sciences courses at UFPR. Initially, we seek to articulate titles and summaries of works published within the scope of the CAPES Theses and Dissertations Catalog (CTD-CAPES), and in the main events in the area of Science and Mathematics Education, Education and productions by black researchers, correlated to the personal and professional trajectory of black women. To discuss the data obtained, Intersectionality as a Critical Social Theory sought to draw parallels between productions and the intersection between gender, race, class, among others. Secondly, definitions and theoretical references are presented to support the discussion of the trajectories of the researchers interviewed. To generate the data, narrative interviews were carried out, in which we sought to identify and discuss elements of institutional and structural racism, as well as the harassment experienced by these researchers both in their personal lives and in the professional sphere. The analysis and discussion carried out were based on propositions from black theoretical references, which deal with interracial relationships at institutional and personal levels, as well as the vicissitudes of relationships between black and white people in the academic environment, with an emphasis on the intersectional perspective. In this sense, the analysis of the narrative interviews allowed us to discuss the similarities between their trajectories in a place dominated by cisheteronormative, white and patriarchal culture. Among the conclusions, it is highlighted that racism and sexism act in a systemic way, intersecting gender, race and class, in the trajectory of the black researchers participating in the research
