The present work had a general objective: to understand the role of the discipline of Non-Euclidean Geometries in the education of Mathematics professors at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and to analyze the relationships between the content of this discipline and the performance of Mathematics teachers. This dissertation aimed to address the following question: What is the role of the discipline of Non-Euclidean Geometries in teacher training at UFPR? The research was conducted through interviews with three Mathematics teachers who were trained at UFPR and are currently active in basic education. The work carried out a study on the knowledge category HCK - Content Knowledge in Horizonte. Using the collected data, the chosen analysis method was Discursive Textual Analysis. Thus, it was possible to identify that the discipline of Non-Euclidean Geometries is capable of providing Mathematics teachers with an expanded view of geometric mathematical concepts, as well as the possibility of feeling more secure and comfortable when teaching and assisting students in various situations involving the teaching and learning of Mathematics
