Abstract: The objective of this work was to analyse the natural regeneration of pinho-cuiabano (Schizolobium amazonicum Huber Ducke) in environments that suffered forest clear cut in a differentiated way. The study was accomplished in two areas originally covered by Mixed Ombrophyllous Forest that were deforested in the same way in April of 2003, located in the city of Carlinda -TM. Area I suffered clear cut with chain-saw followed by burning in all area, in area 2, after the clear cut with chain-saw the woody material was pilled and burnt. Ten plots of 2x6 m in each area had been sampled, in order to evaluate the density of individuals of Schizolobium amazonicum and the diameter at the ground level distributions. The bank of seeds was collected in 0,50 x 0,50m sub-plots installed in the center of the plots used for the survey of the individuals. A total amount of 70 individuals in area I and 51 individuals in area 2 had been counted. The estimates of the densities of the individuals of Schizolobium amazon/cum regenerating in 0,42 areas I and 2 had been of 0,58 and plantlets m2, respectively. In the area I, the average height of the individuals of Schizolobium amazon/cum was 3, I m. Approximately 60,0% of the total of individuals presents total height of 3,01 the 4,0 m. The average height for area 2 was of 2,8 m, where the majority of the individuals 4.0m had also presented height enters 3,01. In the diameter classroom the height of the ground in area 1, evidenced that DSH the minimum and the maximum they had been of 4cm and 24,5cm respectively, being that 54.3% of the measured individuals had had its 10,0 I diameter enter 15cm. In area 2 were evidenced that the minimum and maximum diameter had varied respectively between I and 7 cm, the majority of the individuals had presented diameter enter the I 5 cm equivalent 56,27%. The total number of seeds sampled in area 1 was of only three seeds, while. In area 2 was of 27 seeds.
