Mosaico de vozes no espaço digital : estudo discursivo da criação da plataforma DUO

Abstract

Resumo: Esta tese dedica-se a compreender o processo autoral na criação da plataforma digital de ensino de língua alemã Deutsch-Uni Online (DUO), à luz das teorias da linguagem do Círculo de Bakhtin e de reflexões teóricas sobre ensino de língua no contexto da cultura digital. A plataforma também é situada enquanto objeto de políticas linguísticas voltadas para o ensino de alemão como língua estrangeira no Brasil, mais especificamente no âmbito do Programa Idiomas sem Fronteiras - Alemão, no qual a DUO é utilizada. A problemática motivadora da pesquisa está relacionada à compreensão das práticas de autoria da plataforma enquanto processos políticos em diversas camadas. Considerando o recorte proposto, são chamados autores aqueles que projetam ou executam, em interrelação dinâmica entre as diversas etapas de sua concepção, execução, manutenção e expansão, e em diálogo com outros autores e leitores, o continuum de enunciados multimodais presentes em um produto cultural significante a partir da reação ativa às condições estruturantes em que se inserem. Optou-se nesta tese por chamar esse processo de "mosaico vozes", de maneira a metaforizar as relações que possibilitam a composição do texto multimodal, o que envolve inúmeros agentes com diferentes níveis de contribuição. A análise foi realizada a partir de narrativas de cinco sujeitos envolvidos nesse processo: o diretor científico, o diretor comercial, a chefe de departamento de redação, o chefe do departamento de programação e o programador responsável pela criação do software de entrada de conteúdos na plataforma. Seguindo a sugestão de McCarty (2014) de analisar as microesferas da política, as narrativas foram geradas a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas, o que concede ao trabalho também um viés etnográfico. A partir delas, são reveladas experiências e impressões dos entrevistados a respeito da história, da forma e dos processos de autoria da DUO. Dentre os resultados obtidos da análise do mosaico de vozes, revelaram-se fundamentais as relações interpessoais, as políticas de Estado, a criação de processos setoriais e as práticas e os discursos da cultura digital, confirmando a perspectiva de Johnson (2013) a respeito das políticas linguísticas. Além disso, as narrativas revelaram características da cultura digital e dos textos que compõem a plataforma: ao abordá-los pelo viés da sua criação, foi possível observar a linguagem digital como um processo de translanguaging, carregada ideologicamente e circunstanciada pelas técnicas de programação. Por fim, ao descrever as práticas autorais, notou-se o papel de cada agente nessa criação, bem como a importância da comunicação entre os autores e dos gêneros discursivos que permeiam essa relação.

Abstract: The present thesis analyses the process of authorship of a digital platform for German teaching purpose, Deutsch-Uni Online, considering the Bakhtin Circle theory of language and studies about cyberculture. The platform is also interpreted as an object of languages policies in the context of German as Foreign Language in Brazil, or rather in the scope of the German branch of the Brazilian governmental program Languages without Borders (Idiomas sem Fronteiras), in which Duo is used as main learning material. The research's motivating issue is related to the understanding of the platform's authorship practices as political processes in different layers. Considering the theorical discussions, we consider here authors, those who idealize or execute, in dynamic interrelationship between the various stages of its conception, execution, maintenance and expansion, and in dialogue with other authors and readers, the continuum of multimodal discourses presents in a cultural significant product that is created throw the active reaction to the structuring conditions in which they are inserted. We named here this process "authorial mosaic", in order to metaphorize the relationships that enable the composition of the multimodal text, which involves many authors that contribute to creation of the text in different moments and in different ways. The analysis was carried out from the narratives of five subjects involved in this process: the scientific director, the commercial director, the head of the writing department, the head of the programming department and the programmer responsible for creating the content input software on the platform. Following McCarty's (2014) suggestion to analyze the microspheres of politics, the narratives were generated from semi-structured interviews, which also gives the work an ethnographic bias, that reveals the personal perspective of the interviewees about the history, the form, and the authorship process of the DUO platform. Some results obtained from the analysis of the interviews are that interpersonal relationships, State policies, Sectorial cultures and discourses and practices related to digital culture are fundamental to understand language policies, what confirms Johnson's (2013) assumptions. In addition, the narratives revealed characteristics of the digital culture and of the texts that compose a digital platform: from the perspective of their creators, it was possible to observe the digital language as a translanguaging, ideologically charged and shaped by programming techniques. Finally, by describing authorship practices, the role of each agent was revealed, as well as the importance of communication between authors and of the discursive genres that permeate this relationship.

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Diese Doktorarbeit untersucht den Schaffungsprozess einer digitalen Plattform für Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF), Deutsch-Uni Online (DUO) unter Berücksichtigung der Sprachtheorie des sogenannten "Bachtin-Kreises" und der Cybercultural Studies. Die Plattform ist auch ein Objekt der Sprachpolitik, die darauf abzielt, Deutsch als Fremdsprache in Brasilien zu unterrichten, genauer gesagt im Rahmen des Programms "Sprachen ohne Grenzen" (Idiomas sem fronteiras), in dem DUO eingesetzt wird. Ziel dieser Forschung ist es, den Entwicklungsprozess einer Plattform in Hinblick auf die Autorschaft zu verstehen. Dazu wurden die verschiedenen Schichten dieser Dynamik als politische Prozesse analysiert. Als Autoren werden hier diejenigen bezeichnet, die im Dialog mit anderen Autoren und Lesern das Kontinuum multimodaler Diskurse in der Plattform gestalten oder ausführen. Die Plattform wird als bedeutendes Kulturprodukt verstanden, das in Wechselwirkung mit seinem Entstehungskontext strukturiert wird. Hier nennen wir diesen Prozess "Autorenmosaik", als Metapher für die Beziehungen, die die Komposition eines multimodalen Textes ermöglichen, an dem zahlreiche Akteure mit unterschiedlichen Beiträgen beteiligt sind. Die Analyse wurde anhand der Erzählungen von fünf an diesem Prozess beteiligten Autoren durchgeführt: dem wissenschaftlichen Direktor, dem Geschäftsführer, der Redaktionsleiterin, dem Leiter der ITAbteilung und dem Programmierer, der für die Erstellung der Software für die Eingabe von Inhalten auf der Plattform verantwortlich ist. Die verwendete Methode basiert auf McCartys (2014) Studie zur Analyse der Mikrosphären der Politik, weswegen die Erzählungen aus halbstrukturierten Interviews generiert wurden. Dies verleiht der Arbeit auch eine ethnographische Bias. In diesen Interviews erzählen die Autoren unter anderem über die Geschichte, die Struktur und den Entwicklungsprozess der Plattform. Anhand der Interviews konnte die Relevanz von zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen, staatlicher Politik, der Gestaltung sektoraler Prozesse sowie der Praktiken und Diskurse der digitalen Kultur für die Sprachpolitik der Plattform nachgewiesen werden, wie auch von Johnson (2013) angenommen. Darüber hinaus haben die Befragten Eigenschaften digitaler Kultur und digitaler Texte genannt: Indem man sich ihr aus der Perspektive ihrer Entstehung näherte, war es möglich, die digitale Sprache als einen translanguaging- Prozess zu betrachten ideologisch aufgeladen und durch Programmiertechniken begrenzt. Schließlich wurde bei der Beschreibung der Fragen zur Urheberschaft auf die Rolle jedes einzelnen Akteurs in dieser Entwicklung hingewiesen sowie auf die Bedeutung der Kommunikation zwischen den Autoren und den vielschichtigen Diskurs, der diese Beziehungen durchdringt.
