Abstract: This thesis aims to investigate which exhibition objects' generate interest during teacher lead mediation visits to the Oscar Niemeyer Museum - Museu Oscar Niemeyer - also known as MON. All the visits have been sponsored by the Art teacher during the Art classes. The teacher aim to lead the 7th Grade learners through an aesthetic museum experience. These students come from a public secondary school located in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. The presented research combines the concepts of teacher lead mediation, aesthetic education related to Art and visual culture. These concepts are the theoretical base for the teacherresearcher to plan and guide the outdoor classes around the Oscar Niemeyer Museum. The outdoor classes aim to extend the cultural and artistic student's repertoire, considering the Art content and taking into account the unprivileged social context in which these students are found. The theoretical base for this research meets its foundations in authors who support the teacher mediation concept such as Miriam Celeste Martins (2003, 2012, 2018), Luciano Buchmann (2004, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2019), Cristina Carvalho (2016), and other ones. Considering art literacy and teaching visual culture the foundations are supported by authors such as Fernando Hernández (2000, 2005, 2007, 2009) and Raimundo Martins (2008, 2018). To sustain the concepts of education related to an aesthetic experience the chosen authors are Luigi Pareyson (1997); Maria Helena Wagner Rossi (2005); Dimitri Leontiev (2011); César Guimarães (2006); Abigail Housen (2011). Considering the Latin American Culture and its development this research is underpinned by the authors: Néstor Garcia Canclini (2008) and Jesús Martín-Barbero (1997, 2000). Moreover, this qualitative research was held considering a curriculum unit, it means a sequence of lessons which were implemented in a group of 28 learners. The sequence of lessons happened between November and December in 2019, it includes a survey answered by the students, 3 outdoor classes in the Oscar Niemeyer Museum and classroom activities, these ones happened before and after the MON's outdoor classes.
