Avaliação da mudança da paisagem do entorno da mina do Projeto S11D em Canãa dos Carajás-PA

Abstract

Resumo : A avaliação e acompanhamento das mudanças ocorridas no solo e na paisagem ao decorrer dos anos são extremamente relevantes, pois estas subsidiarão mecanismos para a tomada e organização das decisões. Canaã dos Carajás está inserida em uma importante área com forte interesse minerador, e por tal tornou-se um importante polo de migração de um número significativo de pessoas de todo o país. Baseado nisto, surge a importante missão de acompanhar e verificar as principais mudanças sofridas ao decorrer dos anos após a implantação de grandes projetos minerais. Portanto, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo acompanhar e analisar as principais mudanças sofridas na paisagem no entorno da mina em função da extração dos minerais, instalados na região entres os anos de 2015, 2017 e 2019, para tanto, foram empregadas técnicas de sensoriamento remoto e geoprocessamento, com base em imagens do satélite Landsat 8. A oscilação das classes alta e moderadamente alta comprova a dinâmica da mudança de paisagem nos anos de 2015, 2017 e 2019. A classe moderadamente baixa apresentou uma redução de 2015 a 2019 e a classe baixa apresentou um aumento pouco significativo para os anos analisados. O presente trabalho mostrou uma análise das classes de NDVI em torno da área de extração de minério do município de Canaã dos Carajás-PA. Estes resultados foram ocasionados após a implantação dos grandes projetos minerais, que rege a economia deste município.

Abstract : The assessment and monitoring of changes in soil and landscape over the years is extremely relevant, as these will subsidise mechanisms for taking and organising decisions. Canaã dos Carajás is inserted in an important area with strong mining interest, and as such has become an important migration hub for a significant number of people from all over the country. Based on this, the important mission of monitoring and verifying the main changes that have taken place over the years following the implementation of major mineral projects has emerged. Therefore, the present work aims to monitor and analyze the main changes that have occurred in the landscape around the mine due to the extraction of minerals, installed in the region between the years 2015, 2017 and 2019, for that purpose, remote sensing and geoprocessing techniques were used, based on images from the Landsat 8 satellite. The oscillation of the upper and moderately high classes proves the dynamics of landscape change in 2015, 2017 and 2019. The moderately low class showed a reduction from 2015 to 2019 and the low class showed a negligible increase for the years analyzed. This paper showed an analysis of the NDVI classes around the ore extraction area of the municipality of Canaã dos Carajás-PA. These results were occasioned after the implementation of major mineral projects, which govern the economy of this municipality.
