    Abstract

Abstract: Botany is one of the areas of Biology that presents greater difficulty of study and is considered by many students of High School as uninteresting. This work aims to analyze the general knowledge of botany by high school students of a public school and propose the use of alternative environments to the conventional classroom, the so-called non-formal environments: such as parks, laboratories, external areas of the school, among others. In order for the activities in these places to be productive, it is suggested that the teacher has a prior planning of the objectives to be achieved, avoiding that the moment becomes a mere entertainment. Non-formal environments were used in the assembly of proposals for botany classes aimed at high school students, providing a didactic sequence of scripts that will be available through an educational blog, built on the Blogger platform. It is intended that the blog created, can be used as a subsidy so that high school teachers who wish to improve their practice-pedagogy, use non-formal spaces to work on botany-related topics. The research suggests, through the results obtained, that the plants, although they are in our daily life, are not recognized by most of the students. By providing tools to support the teacher, with scripts in viable environments, we expect a new look and appreciation of these beings that are present in all spheres of human life. Keywords: laboratory, green areas, didactic sequence, learning, scripts, methodology
