Aborto : uma questão moral, legal, cultural e econômica

Abstract

Resumo: A questão do aborto é tratada mundialmente de forma heterogênea e no Brasil o tema é considerado polêmico. Analisá-lo sob as diferentes óticas, entretanto, é fundamental para a garantia dos direitos reprodutivos da mulher. O presente trabalho objetiva elucidar as lacunas das políticas públicas voltadas ao aborto bem como correlacioná-las ao sofrimento da mulher diante deste assunto silenciado. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo será a discussão teórica das relações de poder e empoderamento da mulher diante das ações do Estado sob a ótica de Michel Foucault e Amartya Sen. A complexidade do tema que abrange debates sobre o conceito de vida e sobre julgamentos morais, sobretudo advindos da tradição religiosa ainda arraigada, bem como disparidades culturais e educacionais configura-se como uma barreira à alteração da legislação vigente

Abstract: The abortion subject is heterogeneously approached worldwide and in Brazil this matter is regarded as controversial. Nevertheless, analyse it through diferent perspectives is crucial to guarantee the reproductive rights of women. This work intends to elucidate the gaps on public policies addressed to abortion as well as interrelate them to the suffering of women before this stilled theme. The methodology used in this study will be the theoretical discussion on power relations and empowerment of women in the face of the state's actions by the points of view of Michel Foucault and Amartya Sen. The subject complexity encompasses the debates on the lift concept, moral judgement - mostly come from the religious tradition whose deep roots still take place, and also the cultural and educational disparities, implying a hindrance to changes in the legislation in vigor
