Deixados para trás : desafios dos não adotados de Curitiba na maioridade

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar como adultos não adotados vivem em Curitiba após saírem de instituições de acolhimento ao completarem 18 anos. Busca-se mostrar, por meio de um documentário jornalístico audiovisual, as histórias de vida desses sujeitos e analisar suas condições emocionais, sociais e materiais, além de examinar as ações governamentais para dar suporte a esses indivíduos. O produto traz depoimentos sobre a vida desses indivíduos atualmente sobre o ponto de vista material e psicológico. Parte-se da hipótese por premissa de que o documentário jornalístico audiovisual pode contribuir para a reflexão crítica sobre as práticas adotadas pelas instituições de acolhimento, ao dar visibilidade às experiências de adultos egressos desses serviços. A metodologia é, além da revisão bibliográfica e entrevista em profundidade com egressos e profissionais das unidades, além da análise de conteúdo de três documentários jornalísticos, que seguem temas relacionados à identidade, abandono, adoção ou pertencimento. Os resultados indicam que, embora existam diretrizes formais para o acompanhamento e preparação desses jovens, a implementação prática das políticas públicas é insuficiente. As entrevistas revelaram lacunas emocionais, fragilidades no retorno à família de origem e falta de apoio continuado após o desligamento. A análise dos documentários reforçou a centralidade dos temas pertencimento, identidade e ruptura familiar, em que tais aspectos atravessam tanto as narrativas audiovisuais quanto as experiências relatadas pelos participantes

Abstract: This study aims to examine how non-adopted adults live in Curitiba after leaving institutional care upon reaching the age of 18. Through a journalistic audiovisual documentary, the research presents the life stories of these individuals and analyzes their emotional, social, and material conditions, as well as governmental actions intended to support them. The documentary features testimonies addressing the current material and psychological aspects of their lives. The study is based on the premise hypothesis that the journalistic audiovisual documentary can contribute to critical reflection on the practices adopted by care institutions by giving visibility to the experiences of adults who have transitioned out of these services. The methodology includes a literature review, in-depth interviews with former residents and professionals from care institutions, and content analysis of three journalistic documentaries that address themes related to identity, abandonment, adoption, and belonging. The results indicate that, although formal guidelines exist for monitoring and preparing these young adults, the practical implementation of public policies is insufficient. The interviews revealed emotional gaps, vulnerabilities in the return to the family of origin, and a lack of continued support after institutional discharge. The analysis of the documentaries reinforced the centrality of themes such as belonging, identity, and family rupture, which permeate both the audiovisual narratives and the experiences reported by the participants
