Aspectos produtivos e econômicos da atividade ervateira na microrregião de Irati - PR

Abstract

Resumo : A erva-mate (Ilex paraguariensis A. St.-Hil.) é o principal produto florestal não madeireiro da economia no Sul do Brasil. Considerando a importância da erva-mate no sul do Brasil e a oscilação da área de cultivo, produção e preço pago, este estudo teve por objetivo compreender a dinâmica desses fatos e a relação deles em nove municípios que compõem a microrregião de Irati, entre os anos de 2013 e 2019. Foram realizadas coletas dos seguintes dados secundários: produção de erva-mate (folha verde/toneladas); área de cultivo (hectares) e o valor bruto da produção em cada um dos municípios. Estes dados foram obtidos junto ao Departamento de Economia Rural da Secretaria de Agricultura e do Abastecimento do Paraná – DERAL/SEAB. Para tabulação e análise dos dados foi utilizado o programa Microsoft Office Excel e seus recursos de cálculos e representações gráficas. Em relação aos aspectos produtivos analisados, foi possível concluir que houve crescimento da produção e da área de cultivo de erva-mate durante o período analisado. O município de Inácio Martins foi aquele que se destacou na primeira posição em relação a estas duas variáveis. Os índices de produtividade decresceram durante o período analisado. Quanto aos aspectos econômicos, o Valor Bruto da Produção (VBP) apresentou alta taxa de crescimento e o município de Inácio Martins se destacou na primeira posição em relação a esta variável. A média dos preços da erva-mate também reduziram no período analisado e o preço médio de cada município foi praticamente o mesmo.

Abstract: Yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis A. St.-Hil.) Is the main non-timber forest product in the economy in southern Brazil. Considering the importance of yerba mate in southern Brazil and the fluctuation in the area of cultivation, production and price paid, this study aimed to understand the dynamics made and their relationship in nine municipalities that make up the micro region of Irati, between the years from 2013 and 2019. Collections of the following secondary data were carried out: production of yerba mate (green leaf / tons); cultivation area (hectares) and the gross value of production in each of the municipalities. These data were obtained from the Department of Rural Economy of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of Paraná - DERAL / SEAB. For tabulation and analysis of the data used in the Microsoft Office Excel program and its calculation and graphic representation resources. Regarding the productive aspects obtained, it was possible to conclude that growth in production and in the cultivation area of yerba mate during the analyzed period. The municipality of Inácio Martins was the one that stood out in the first position in relation to these two variables. The productivity indexes decreased during the analyzed period. As for economic aspects, the Gross Value of Production (VBP) has a high growth rate and the municipality of Inácio Martins stood out in the first position in relation to this variable. The average prices of yerba mate also decreased in the analyzed period and the average price of each municipality was practically the same.
