The digestive system of Gallus gallus presents particularities when compared to that of domestic mammals. This didactic model was developed by academics from the Animal Science Course at the Federal University of Paraná, in the discipline Comparative Anatomy of Domestic Animals (BA066), linked to the extension project "Knowing, respecting and producing birds: didactic and alternative models in the teaching and learning process". The objective of this work was to elaborate an alternative didactic model of the Gallus gallus intestine, demonstrating the segments of the small intestine (duodenum, jejunum and ileum) and large intestine (cecum and rectum), in addition to the cloaca. The model was planned in two presentations; the first printout has an illustrative diagram of the topography of the intestinal segments, and the second has envelopes with summaries of the respective intestinal components and the cloaca.
