This brochure was created by students from the Animal Science Program at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) for the Introduction to Animal Anatomy course, part of the extension project "Knowing, Respecting, and Breeding Birds: Didactic and Alternative Models in the Teaching-Learning Process." It provides a general overview of the topographical and functional description of the cockatiel's appendicular skeleton. It describes the bones of the thoracic and pelvic limbs through captioned illustrative diagrams. It also provides interesting facts about its interaction with the environment, its flight ability, and tips for the well-being of this domesticated bird.
