Inventário de emissões de gases de efeito estufa : um estudo sobre as locomotivas do Expresso Turístico da Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos

Abstract

Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi elaborar um inventário de emissões de gases de efeito estufa (GEE), da Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), provenientes da queima de combustível dos motores das locomotivas diesel-elétricas do tipo ALCO RS-3, nos serviços prestados do Expresso Turístico, para o ano de 2019. Para isto, foi realizado um levantamento de dados de consumo de diesel destes veículos, através de uma estimativa baseada em medições, que permitiu a realização de cálculos, de modo a obter o consumo total deste combustível, para esta finalidade, no ano em questão. Através destes dados, foi possível confrontar os valores calculados de tCO2e baseados no IPCC, com os dados aferidos através das ferramentas de cálculo GHG Protocol v2019.3 e IPCC Inventory Software. O trabalho propõe ainda, alternativas de compensação de modo a mitigar os impactos causados pela emissão de GEE, sendo as alternativas analisadas, o plantio de árvores nativas e a compra de créditos de carbono. O inventário de emissões está limitado ao escopo 1 do GHG Protocol, para combustão móvel, e contabiliza somente o diesel utilizado nas locomotivas prestando os serviços turísticos, excluindo-se o consumo destas em outras atividades, bem como outros veículos

Abstract: The objective of this work was to elaborate an inventory of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), from the engine fuel burning from diesel-electric locomotives of type ALCO RS-3, in the services Expresso Turístico, for the year 2019. For this, a survey of diesel consumption data of these vehicles was made, through an estimate based on measurements, which allowed to perform calculations in order to obtain the total consumption of this vehicle fuel for this purpose in the year in question. Through these data, it was possible to compare the calculated values of tCO2e based on the IPCC with the data measured by the GHG Protocol v2019.3 calculation tool and IPCC Inventory Software. The work also proposes offset alternatives in order to mitigate the impacts caused by GHG emissions, being the alternatives analyzed, the planting of native trees and the purchase of carbon credits. Emissions inventory is limited to scope 1 of the GHG Protocol for mobile combustion and includes only diesel used in locomotives providing tourist services, excluding their consumption in other activities as well as other vehicles
