Extensões de Hopf-Galois via coanéis

Abstract

Resumo: Neste trabalho, investigamos extens˜oes de Galois atrav'es da linguagem de coan'eis. Especificamente, demonstramos como extens˜oes de Hopf-Galois podem ser caracterizadas usando a teoria de coan'eis, estabelecendo importantes resultados de equivalˆencia. Com esse intuito, apresentamos fundamentos de bi'algebras e 'algebras de Hopf, al'em de uma vis˜ao geral da teoria dos coan'eis, destacando os coan'eis de Galois. Tamb'em exploramos o cl'assico Teorema de faithfully flat descent para um morfismo de an'eis, cuja prova 'e desenvolvida em termos do coanel de Sweedler associado.

Abstract: In this work, we investigate Galois extensions through the framework of corings. Specifically, we show how Hopf-Galois extensions can be characterized using coring theory, establishing significant equivalence results. With this aim, we introduce the fundamental concepts of bialgebras and Hopf algebras, along with an overview of coring theory, highlighting Galois corings. We also explore the classical Theorem of faithfully flat descent for a ring morphism, whose proof is developed in terms of the associated Sweedler coring.
