dc.description.abstract | Cellular meat is an alternative to current animal protein production systems. This new technology will bring new opportunities for veterinarians, zootechnicians and bioprocess and biotechnology engineers, professionals who have a fundamental role in the production of conventional meat. The graduate program in Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Paraná has a discipline for teaching Cellular Animal Science that addresses content on topics related to "Cellular Animal Science". The objective of this work is to propose a plan to adapt the curriculum of the courses involved in the production of cellular meat, through the recognition and adaptations of existing subjects, as well as through reflection on the inclusion of new subjects. The basis of the research will be the comparison of the "introduction to animal science" course syllabus with the curricular matrix and the syllabus of the subjects offered in 10 courses of each one of the graduations in different federal universities. It is essential that undergraduate courses provide technical-scientific knowledge necessary for the training of professionals trained to work in the production of cellular meat. | |
