Mediação escolar : um estudo do trabalho disciplinar realizado em uma escola municipal de Curitiba

Abstract

Resumo : O presente trabalho foi realizado em uma escola pertencente à rede municipal de educação da cidade de Curitiba/PR. Com uma metodologia que se caracteriza como estudo de caso, o enfoque principal desta pesquisa foi dado ao Setor de Mediação Escolar, iniciado, no ano de 2011, em cada uma das onze escolas municipais de Curitiba/PR que possuem a segunda fase do Ensino Fundamental (6o ao 9o ano). Este trabalho objetivou conhecer aprofundadamente o funcionamento deste Setor em uma escola, identificando e analisando seus pressupostos, concepções de trabalho, as dinâmicas de seu funcionamento cotidiano, as avaliações que alguns dos alunos têm a respeito do Setor, assim como mapeando quantitativamente e qualitativamente parte dos registros disciplinares aí produzidos. Os teóricos utilizados para fundamentar tal pesquisa abrangem, sobretudo, Michel Foucault, João Amado, Julio Groppa Aquino e diversos outros autores contemporâneos que discutem a questão da (in)disciplina em nível nacional e internacional. Os instrumentos utilizados para a coleta de dados foram as observações do trabalho realizado no Setor de Mediação Escolar; as análises documentais executadas nos materiais que norteiam as ações deste Setor; as entrevistas com uma responsável pelo Setor na Secretaria Municipal de Educação, com as mediadoras que atuam na instituição de ensino e com alguns alunos; e os 776 registros de atendimentos aos discentes das turmas de 9os anos, no 1o semestre de 2016. Tais registros foram mapeados e, a partir disso, construíram-se quadros que também possibilitaram análises e questionamentos do trabalho que ali é desenvolvido. Nesse sentido, evidenciou-se a grande quantidade de registros voltados para os problemas disciplinares de atraso e de falta de uniforme escolar, totalizando 81,7% dos registros mapeados. Dentre as conclusões a que chegamos através dessa pesquisa, destacamos o desgaste de energia e de tempo das mediadoras com este tipo de problema, que mereceria ser repensado e redimensionado pela escola como um todo (incluindo-se aí de preferência o próprio alunado) a fim de que o Setor de Mediação possa construir novas perspectivas de trabalho.

Abstract : The present work was carried out in a school belonging to the municipal education network of the city of Curitiba/PR. With a methodology that is characterized as a case study, the main focus of this research was given to the School Mediation Sector, started in 2011, in each of the eleven municipal schools of Curitiba/PR that have the second phase of Primary Education (6th to the 9th year). This work aimed to know in depth the functioning of this Sector in a school, identifying and analyzing its assumptions, work conceptions, the dynamics of its daily operation, the evaluations that some of the students have about the Sector, as well as mapping quantitatively and qualitatively part of the disciplinary records produced there. The theorists used to support such research include Michel Foucault, João Amado, Julio Groppa Aquino and several other contemporary authors who discuss the issue of (in)discipline at national and international level. The instruments used to collect data were the observations of the work done in the School Mediation Sector; the documentary analyzes carried out on the materials that guide the actions of this Sector; the interviews with a person in charge of the Sector in the Municipal Department of Education, with the mediators who work in the educational institution and with some students; and the 776 records of attendance to the students of the 9- year classes in the first half of 2016. Such records were mapped and, from this, tables were built that also enabled analysis and questioning of the work that is developed there. In this sense, the great amount of records related to the disciplinary problems of delay and lack of school uniform was evidenced, totalizing 81.7% of the records mapped. Among the conclusions we reached through this research, we highlight the energy and time wastage of the mediators with this type of problem, which deserves to be rethought and re-dimensioned by the school as a whole (including the student himself) so that the Mediation Sector can build new perspectives of work.
