A inclusão com Distrofia Muscular de Duchenne sob a perspectiva de familiares

Abstract

Resumo : A Distrofia Muscular de Duchenne (DMD) é a doença neuromuscular mais frequente dentre as distrofias na infância, existem vários estudantes com esse diagnóstico na rede regular de ensino. O trabalho a seguir tem como objetivos compreender o processo de inclusão de alunos no sistema regular de ensino, conhecer as características da DMD, elencando os tipos de pesquisas publicadas sobre a doença e seus principais temas e analisar sob a perspectiva das famílias, como ocorre a inclusão desses estudantes nas escolas, as dificuldades enfrentadas e os avanços que a experiência com a convivência social e escolar podem proporcionar a esses alunos. Evidenciou-se que a quantidade de material produzido sobre a DMD na área da educação é limitada, dificultando o acesso de profissionais escolares a mais informações sobre a doença. A pesquisa principal foi realizada de acordo com o relato das famílias sobre o processo escolar de seus familiares com DMD, desde a recepção da escola quando soube da doença até as ações realizadas por ela para garantir a inclusão deles. Com essa análise, foi possível perceber as dificuldades enfrentadas pelas famílias para garantir os direitos básicos de escolarização de seus filhos, como no caso do profissional de apoio e também o esforço das escolas em garantir o melhor atendimento possível. Estudar sobre o papel das famílias no processo de ensino desses alunos pode facilitar o convívio e a aprendizagem destes no âmbito escolar, bem como pode ser útil aos professores e coordenadores escolares que, conhecendo sobre a doença e as características desse aluno através da vivência das famílias, podem melhorar a sua pratica pedagógica, aprendendo mais sobre os seus próprios alunos, suas especificidades e suas competências.

Abstract : The Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is the most frequent neuromuscular disease among childhood dystrophies, there are several students with this diagnosis in the regular school system. The following work aims to understand the process of inclusion of students in the regular education system, to know the characteristics of DMD, listing the types of published research on the disease and its main themes and to analyze from the perspective of families, inclusion of these students in the schools, the difficulties faced and the advances that the experience with the social and scholastic coexistence can provide to these students. It was clear that the amount of material produced on DMD in the area of education is limited, making it difficult for school professionals to access more information about the disease. The main research was conducted according to the families' reports about the school process of their families with DMD, from the reception of the school when they learned of the disease to the actions taken by the family to ensure their inclusion. With this analysis, it was possible to perceive the difficulties faced by families to guarantee the basic rights of schooling of their children, as in the case of the support professional and also the schools' efforts to guarantee the best possible care. Studying the role of families in the teaching process of these students can facilitate the coexistence and learning of these in the school environment, and it can be useful to teachers and school coordinators who, knowing about the illness and the characteristics of this student through the experience of families , can improve their pedagogical practice by learning more about their own students, their specificities and their skills.
