A matemática do kimono

Abstract

Resumo : A interdisciplinaridade entre a matemática com outras áreas geralmente não ocorre dentro do chão da escola mas, se pararmos para analisar, a matemática está presente e coexistindo com tudo ao nosso redor. Pensando nisso esse trabalho busca analisar e perceber a moda sob um olhar matemático, especificamente na criação, desenvolvimento e confecção do símbolo da tradição japonesa, o kimono. O objetivo é, não só perceber a relação importante entre a moda e a matemática, mas também quais saberes matemáticos estão presentes no desenvolvimento dos kimonos, e de qual forma a moda tradicional japonesa pode contribuir com o ensino da matemática. Nesse trabalho, com a perspectiva da Etnomatemática, poderemos perceber que a matemática é muito mais que uma ferramenta, é uma forma de otimizar, é um passo para criar, é o ato de existir

Abstract: The interdisciplinarity between mathematics and other areas does not usually occur within the school, but if we stop to analyze it, mathematics is present and coexisting with everything around it. With that in mind, this work seeks to analyze and perceive fashion from a mathematical point of view, specifically in the creation, development and making of the symbol of the Japanese tradition, the kimono. The objective is not only to understand the important relationship between fashion and mathematics, but also which mathematical knowledge is present in the development of kimonos, and in what way the traditional Japanese fashion can contribute to the math education.
