Effects of fractional memory on coupled waves and plates

Abstract

Resumo: Nesta tese são estudadas as propriedades assintóticas das soluções de alguns sistemas lineares acoplados. Nós consideramos três sistemas dissipativos, em que a dissipação é dada por memória fracionária. Os principais resultados são as taxas ótimas de decaimento polinomial ou o decaimento exponencial das soluções. Todos os resultados obtidos partem da teoria de semigrupos de operadores lineares e da análise espectral. Um dos principais resultados usados é o Teorema de Borichev e Tomilov.

Abstract: This work is devoted to the study of asymptotical properties of the solutions of some linear dissipative coupled systems. We present three systems dissipated by infinite fractional memories and the main results establish the best polynomial decay rates or exponential decay of the solutions. The approach to show those results is the semigroup theory with spectral analysis. The majority of the results come from Borichev-Tomilov's Theorem.
