Abstract: This work aimed to bring a survey in the Brazilian territory about Scientific Theater and its main groups linked to universities, seeking to know and understand the work processes that approach territorial discussion, scientific dissemination and regional development. This dissertation was elaborated from the experiences obtained by the author when integrating the Mobile Laboratory of Scientific Education (LabMóvel) of the Federal University of Paraná - Setor Litoral, where she started her research and implemented the scientific approach to theater in the Municipality of Matinhos and others municipalities on the Paraná coast. This survey was carried out through research of academic articles, face-to-face group meetings through the National Meeting of Scientific Theater Ciência em Cena, online interviews with three coordinating professors of the main projects of national scientific theater, whose experience is extremely relevant in the area of Scientific Dissemination and Scientific Theater in Brazil. A brief discussion was made of how these groups developed as scientific disseminators in their respective cities and regions. Thus, issues of how to develop activities such as the Scientific Theater in spaces in the school environment and in the society of certain regions where the groups carried out their activities were discussed. It was found that the Scientific Theater groups in Brazil, are mostly connected to public institutions, and perform excellent works even in the midst of the difficulty of subsidizing their projects. There is no true notion of Sustainable Territorial Development (STD) within the groups, however all of them present important aspects with regard to the socio-educational development of their regions, an aspect that can be further developed from the perspective of STD.
