Patrimônios escondidos : mediações da arqueologia na área do Centro Histórico de Curitiba

Abstract

Resumo : A concepção moderna e ampliada de patrimônio cultural, apesar de adotar perspectivas inclusivas e abrangentes, nem sempre encontra espaço de diálogo e representação junto aos variados grupos sociais e étnicos que coabitam o âmbito urbano e que historicamente contribuíram na formação de uma cidade. Essa condição pode ser observada de forma mais contundente no núcleo inicial, configurado como Centro ou Setor Histórico, onde se direciona às ações protetivas centralizadas majoritariamente ao patrimônio edificado. Este tipo de patrimônio, apesar de muito ameaçado, encontra-se permeado por processos de exclusões, em que muitas das práticas preservacionistas foram demarcadas por relações históricas, sociais e econômicas desiguais e conflituosas. Entretanto, estudos recentes em arqueologia urbana trazem novos aportes para a discussão ao focalizar um patrimônio que aqui será definido como categoria intermediária entre os bens móveis e imóveis: o subsolo. Por meio dos registros culturais identificados no subsolo urbano, a arqueologia revelou elementos do cotidiano capazes de retratar a presença de grupos marginalizados no processo de construção da memória citadina. A partir dos estudos arqueológicos anteriormente realizados no Setor Histórico de Curitiba (PR), propõe-se pensar no potencial do subsolo urbano e nos elementos que permitem inferir a presença indígena na constituição do patrimônio material nesta área. Para isso, realizou-se o levantamento bibliográfico e pesquisas no acervo do Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas Arqueológicas da UFPR. Procura-se, então, estabelecer uma reflexão quanto a gestão do patrimônio arqueológico e o seu direcionamento a uma política plural e menos excludente relacionada ao patrimônio histórico-cultural da cidade. Abstract : The modern and broad concept of cultural heritage, despite adopting including and comprehensive perspectives, does not always find space for dialogue and representation with the various social and ethnic groups that cohabit the urban environment and have historically contributed to the formation of a city. This condition can be observed more clearly in the initial nucleus, configured as Center or Historic Sector, where protective actions are focused mainly on the built heritage. This type of heritage, although highly threatened, is permeated by processes of exclusion, in which many of the preservationist practices were demarcated by unequal and conflicting historical, social and economic relations. However, recent studies in urban archeology bring new contributions to the discussion by focusing on a heritage that will be defined here as an intermediate category between movable and immovable assets: the subsoil. Through the cultural records identified in the urban subsoil, archeology revealed elements of daily life capable of portraying the presence of marginalized groups in the process of building the city's memory. From the archaeological studies previously carried out in the Historic Sector of Curitiba (PR), it is proposed to think about the potential of the urban subsoil and the elements that allow inferring the indigenous presence in the constitution of the material heritage in this area. For this, a bibliographic survey and research were carried out in the collection of the Center for Archaeological Studies and Research at UFPR. It seeks then to establish a reflection on the management of archaeological heritage and its direction towards a plural and less exclusionary policy related to the city's historical and cultural heritage.
