Estrela de David no triângulo de Pascal

Abstract

Resumo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar a Estrela de Davi, descoberta na década de 70 por Hoggat e Hansell, a fim de aumentar o conhecimento e desempenho, na área de exatas, dos alunos que usufruírem deste artigo. Essa descoberta mostra o produto intercalado, três a três, dos números posicionados nas seis pontas da estrela, ao redor de um binomial, dentro do triângulo de Pascal. Veremos como é de fácil localização dentro do triângulo e o quão pouco explorado é tal conhecimento. Além disso serão apresentadas algumas propriedades no triângulo de Pascal como a Relação de Stifel, propriedade das colunas, propriedade das linhas e propriedade das diagonais. Com essas propriedades e utilizando cálculos matriciais, mostraremos a Estrela de David, que é o grande objetivo do nosso trabalho, e o máximo divisor comum existente entre esses seis números.

Abstract: This paper aims to present the Star of David, discovered in the 1970s by Hoggat and Hansell, in order to increase the knowledge and performance, in the area of exact sciences, of the students who take advantage of this article. This discovery shows the interleaved product, three by three, of the numbers positioned on the six points of the star, around a binomial, within Pascal's triangle.We will see how easy it is to locate within the triangle and how little such knowledge is exploited. Furthermore, some properties in Pascal's triangle will be presented such as Stifel's relation, column property, row property and diagonal property. With these properties and using matrix calculations, we will show the Star of David, which is the major objective of our work, and the maximum common divisor existing between these six numbers.
