As cotas partidárias e a participação das mulheres na política

Abstract

Resumo : presente pesquisa tem como tema geral a representação política feminina. Para tal nos debruçamos sobre o impacto da implementação das cotas partidárias, Lei nº 9.504/97. O artigo pretende descrever as dificuldades enfrentadas pelas mulheres em concorrerem e ocuparem cargos políticos eleitorais, além de abordar e as recentes mudanças institucionais que têm como objetivo estimular sua participação no legislativo brasileiro. E ainda, entender se o sistema de cotas funcionou como mecanismo para integrar as mulheres no processo eleitoral, além de analisar as barreiras que dificultam integração das mulheres nos partidos políticos e verificar se as mulheres votam em outras mulheres. A pesquisa se justifica pela necessidade de analisar se a referida Lei representou algum impacto no contexto da participação das mulheres na política do país. A metodologia é uma revisão não sistemática da literatura concernente às questões que envolvem a representação política, representação política feminina, partidos políticos e mulheres, as eleições e as mulheres.

Abstract : This research has as its general theme the female political representation. For such we deal with the impact of the implementation of party quotas, Law No. 9,504/97. The article aims to describe the difficulties faced by women in running and occupying electoral political positions, in addition to addressing and the recent institutional changes that aim to stimulate their participation in the Brazilian legislature. Also, to understand if the quota system worked as a mechanism to integrate women in the electoral process, and to analyze the barriers that hinder women's integration in political parties and to verify if women vote for other women. The research is justified by the need to analyze if this Law had any impact in the context of women's participation in the country's politics. The methodology is a non-systematic literature review concerning issues involving political representation, female political representation, political parties and women, elections and women.
