O cenário atual e as perspectivas do olivoturismo para a diversificação da oferta turística no estado do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

Resumo : Dentro de um cenário onde o cultivo de oliveiras continuamente se expande e o azeite de oliva ganha cada vez mais espaço nas diversas dietas mundiais, inicia- se uma abertura ao turismo. O olivoturismo já ganhou presença em diversas regiões do mundo e nacionalmente começa-se a surgir em diferentes estados. Com o Rio Grande do Sul liderando a produção nacional, qual o cenário atual deste em relação ao olivoturismo? E que perspectivas o olivoturismo apresenta para a diversificação da oferta turística no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul? O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é descrever o cenário atual e analisar as perspectivas do olivoturismo para a diversificação da oferta turística no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Para alcançar este, foi realizada uma análise do olivoturismo no cenário mundial e o turismo rural no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Para o desenvolvimento dos assuntos abordados, verificou-se o estado da arte da produção acadêmica sobre o tema, trazendo trabalhos diretamente relacionados a este segmento turístico. Para uma aproximação sobre a realidade das propriedades produtoras de azeite no Estado, foi aplicada um questionário direcionado à coleta de informações dos dados de produção e turismo. A partir da discussão realizada junto aos dados coletados, concluiu-se que o olivoturismo é uma realidade no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, encontra-se em estado inicial. Se faz necessária ainda uma orientação e acompanhamento junto aos produtores em relação ao desenvolvimento do turismo.

Abstract : Within a scenario where olive growing continually expands and olive oil is gaining more and more space in the various world diets, an opening to tourism begins. Olivotourism has already gained presence in various regions of the world and nationally begins to emerge in different states. With Rio Grande do Sul leading the national production, what is the current scenario of this with olive tourism? And what perspectives does olive tourism present for the diversification of tourism offer in the state of Rio Grande do Sul? The main objective of this research is to describe the current scenario and analyze the perspectives of olivotourism for the diversification of tourism offer in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. To achieve this, an analysis of olivotourism in the world scenario and rural tourism in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. For the development of the subjects approached, it was verified the state of the art of the academic production on the theme, bringing works directly related to this tourist segment. For an approximation of the reality of olive oil producing properties in the state, a questionnaire was applied to collect information from production and tourism data. From the discussion of the collected data, it was concluded that olive tourism is a reality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, is in its initial state. Guidance and follow- up with producers regarding tourism development is also required.
