Edifício híbrido : uma intervenção urbana no centro de Curitiba

Abstract

Resumo: O presente trabalho discute o dinamismo e a diversidade urbana na recuperação de áreas deteriorada no bairro Centro, em Curitiba. Especificadamente, dentre as diversas regiões com alto grau de degradação, foi definido uma área onde, a partir de um diagnóstico, estabeleceu-se diretrizes para uma proposta de recuperação, tendo como objeto principal a inserção do "Edifício Híbrido". Como forma de ampliar a influência das características desta edificação, interviu-se na paisagem urbana de seu entorno. Para este projeto, utilizou-se como base os conceitos de Jane Jacobs sobre diversidade urbana, a definição dos "pontos nodais" de Kevin Lynch e as idéias de Gordon Cullen sobre continuidade urbana. Na conclusão pondera-se a respeito da integração entre o edifício híbrido e a paisagem urbana, assim como os alcances dessas intervenções para a vitalidade urbana.

Abstract: The current paper discusses the dynamism and diversity for recovery of degraded urban areas. Specifically, among several regions with a high-level of degradation in the city Center of Curitiba, an area, to which a diagnosis was made and the guidelines for its recovery, where the main object is the "Hybrid Building".By means of expanding the influence of the characteristic of building, we made interfered in the urban landscape environment. In this project, we used the concepts from Jane Jacobs about urban diversity, the definition of "nodal points" from Kevin Lynch and the ideas from Gordon Cullen about urban continuity. In the conclusion, to ponder about the integration between the Hybrid Building and urban landscape, as well as the scope of theses interventions for urban vitality.
