Por que tão poucos alunos querem estudar na Escola Estadual Prof. Olavo Del Claro : por que a escola não é desejada pela comunidade?

Abstract

Resumo : O presente trabalho originou-se de uma inquietação da pesquisadora e das profissionais da secretaria da escola Professor Olavo Del Claro, localizada no bairro São Braz, que a pelo menos três anos vem observando uma suposta diminuição de matrículas. Em um primeiro momento observou-se que havia um conjunto de fatores, provavelmente, favorecendo esta suposta perda de matrícula. Foi feito um estudo de caso de caráter exploratório, da escola objeto de estudo, Professor Olavo Del Claro para identificar se a inquietação tinha razão de ser. Este trabalho não pretende apresentar conclusões definitivas por que não conseguiu estudar todos os fatores envolvidos na diminuição de matrículas e, sim, indicar possíveis problemas intervenientes, fatores que tem contribuído para a situação detectada. Entre os fatores investigados, se busca trazer as possíveis razões desta não aceitação da escola pela comunidade. Não foi possível detectar uma tendência clara nestas movimentações de matrículas porque o trabalho não estudou a evasão escolar. Este estudo de caráter exploratório da movimentação de matrículas abrangeu o período de 2003 a 2012. Analisando os dados verificou-se que não há indicações de tendência declinante contínua na escola Prof. Olavo Del Claro, contrariando as estatísticas estaduais e nacionais, embora na escola vizinha que atende a mesma comunidade haja tendência declinante contínua. A partir destes dados iniciais procurou-se outras manifestações associadas a esta suposta perda de matrículas. O questionário aplicado aos pais que retiram seus filhos da escola apontou os seguintes motivos: problemas de infraestrutura e organização da escola, segurança, histórico de violência no passado da escola. Para ampliar o levantamento de dados acerca da receptividade da escola pelos pais e alunos ampliou-se a pesquisa para os alunos concluintes do Ensino Fundamental e Médio da escola como o objetivo de saber sua opinião sobre a escola, sobre seus sonhos, suas esperanças. Os alunos e pais pesquisados enxergam a escola real: sua infraestrutura, os problemas presentes nas atividades didáticas, às relações com os profissionais da escola e entre os próprios alunos. As indicações apontadas pela pesquisa permitirão que a partir de sua divulgação à comunidade escolar se possam iniciar ações que combatam efetivamente esta rejeição apresentada à escola objeto de estudo.

Abstract : The present work clearly originated from a fidget of the researcher and the professionals of the secretariat of the Professor Olavo Del, located in the quarter São Braz that at least three years comes observing a supposed. At a first moment it was observed that it had a set of factors, probably, favoring a supposed loss of school registration. A study of case of exploratory character was made of the school object of study, Professor Olavo Del clearly to identify if the fidget had reason of being. This work does not intend to present definitive conclusions why it did not obtain to study all the involved factors in the reduction of school registrations and, yes, to indicate possible intervening problems, factors that have contributed for the detected situation. Between the investigated factors, if not acceptance of the school for the community searchs to bring the possible reasons of this. It was not possible to detect a clear trend in these movements of school registrations because the work did not study the pertaining to school evasion. This study of exploratory character of the movement of school registrations the 2012 enclosed the period of 2002. Analyzing the data it was verified that it does not have indications of continuous declining trend in the school Prof. Olavo Del Clearly, opposing the state and national statisticians, even so in the neighboring school that the same community takes care of has continuous declining trend. From these initial data one looked to other manifestations associates to this supposed loss of school registrations. The questionnaire applied to the parents who remove its children of the school pointed the following reasons: problems of infrastructure and organization of the school, security, description of violence in the past of the school. To extend the data-collecting concerning the receptiveness of the school for the parents and pupils it was extended research for the confluents pupils of Basic and Average Ensign of the school as the objective to know its opinion on the school, on its dreams, its hopes. The searched pupils and parents seem the real school: its infrastructure of the school, the problems gifts in the didactic activities, the relations with the professionals of the school and between the proper pupils. The indications pointed for the research will allow that from its spreading to the pertaining to school community if they can initiate actions that effectively fight this rejection presented to the school study object.
