Abstract: Biology is a discipline that must be guided by scientific literacy and investigative teaching to promote meaningful learning. It should also consider the inclusion of students who have sensory and motor limitations. In this context, new methodologies are needed that adapt the narratives to subjects deprived of sight. The present work proposes a Didactic Sequence (DS) on the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and COVID-19 based on the principles of investigative and inclusive teaching of blind students using adapted teaching resources. In addition to its curricular relevance, the chosen theme is current and of great importance for public health. The pedagogical strategy involved the development of a three-dimensional (3D) model of the microorganism produced by 3D modeling and printing technologies. Associated with the 3D model, audios were produced with complementary information about the virus, the disease, forms of transmission, and prevention. The model reproduced the main characteristics of the virus and was printed using deposition and fusion technology on an Ender 5 Pro printer with snap-in parts whose objective was to stimulate tactile perception and recognition of viral components and their characteristics. The audios contemplated the inclusive proposal providing a narrative about the characteristics of the virus, the infection process, and preventive measures of COVID-19. The development of this study resulted in the production of an SD with elements of teaching by investigation and scientific literacy in addition to inclusive practices. It was concluded that the SD allowed the establishment of investigative and inclusive methodologies through the use of three-dimensional tactile material and audio with characteristics that seek to favor the understanding of the theme for both blinds and sighted students.
