Abstract: The techniques of remote sensing as well as photogrammetry in the forest area, assist in the work of the managers, whether for production, preservation, management, monitoring. Therefore, the use of photogrammetry for tree measurements was evaluated, aiming to facilitate measurements, through the formation of digital trees in 3D. Using a camera, 360º photos of the selected individual were taken, the trunk was reconstructed through the formation of the point cloud in which the product was a 3D tree. From the formation of the 3D solid, digital measurements of tree diameters were made, being statistically compared to the values found in the forest inventory. It was observed that the data measured in the forest inventory did not differ statistically from the digital measurement of the diameters. Images with good quality and coverage were formed in this study by the Pix4D Mapper program, with easy and accurate processing, in addition to the possibility of obtaining other qualitative and quantitative information about the individual photographed, such as health and height of bifurcation. The tool presented itself as an alternative to the conventional inventory. With this, the use of terrestrial photogrammetry in tree diameter estimates was confirmed, and that research can be carried out to create methodologies and ways of automating this work, allowing the program to capture the diameter of trees automatically.
