A intervenção terapêutica ocupacional no controle domiciliar e na mobilidade do adulto-jovem com deficiência visual

Abstract

Resumo : A intervenção Terapêutica Ocupacional, visando o cliente adulto-jovem com deficiência visual, abrange recursos compensatórios específicos, para a adaptação das atividades de controle domiciliar e da mobilidade na comunidade. O estudo teve como objetivos, identificar o impacto que a deficiência visual pode ocasionar nas atividades do indivíduo adulto-jovem, analisar as possíveis estratégias compensatórias e adaptativas para a realização independente das atividades de controle domiciliar e mobilidade na comunidade, e descrever a intervenção terapêutica ocupacional e suas contribuições nestas atividades significativas ao adulto-jovem. A abordagem metodológica utilizada foi a revisão bibliográfica de 2000 à 2007, na qual se buscou referências atuais com informações a respeito da pessoa com deficiência visual e sua reabilitação na fase adulta. A partir da constatação refente às atividades de controle domiciliar e de mobilidade na comunidade que lhe são significativas nesta faixa etária, se propôs a busca por referências que relatassem possíveis intervenções que o terapeuta ocupacional possa utilizar em sua prática. A pesquisa, a partir do referencial teórico, discorre sobre o indivíduo adulto-jovem que adquire uma afecção ocular, ocasionando uma cegueira. Encontram-se quais são as atividades significativas ao indivíduo adulto-jovem e relevantes ao terapeuta ocupacional, que poderá intervir a partir de sua filosofia e fundamentação profissional. Apontam-se as capacidades e potencialidades, que a pessoa com deficiência visual pode utilizar ao realizar suas tarefas significativas, sendo estas as compensações através dos sentidos sensoriais remanescentes. Assim, a pesquisa evidenciou que a intervenção terapêutica ocupacional pode utilizar estas potencialidades da pessoa em benefício da reabilitação. Verificou-se, referente ao tema da pesquisa, pouco referencial teórico publicado, tornando o desenvolvimento do tema, difícil e desafiador

Abstract : The Occupational Therapy intervention, aimed at young-adult customers with sight impairments, specific compensation covers resources for the adaptation of the activities of home control and mobility in the community. The study aimed to, identify the impact that can cause visual impairment in activities of adult-young, examine the possible compensatory and adaptive strategies for carrying out independent of the activities of home control and mobility in the community, and describe the intervention occupational therapy and their significant contributions in these activities to young-adult. The methodological approach used was to review literature from 2000 to 2007, which sought references with current information about the person with sight impairments and their rehabilitation in adulthood. From the observation of the activities of home control and mobility in the community that it is significant in this age group, had offered to search for references that recount possible interventions that the occupational therapist can use in their practice. The research, from the theoretical reference, talks about the young-adult who purchases an eye disease, causing a blindness. They are what are the significant activities to young-adult and relevant to the occupational therapist, who can speak from their philosophy and professional reasons. They point to the capabilities and potential, that the person with sight impairment can use when performing their duties significant and such compensation through the senses sensory remaining. Thus, the poll showed that the intervention occupational therapy can use these capabilities for the benefit of the person's rehabilitation.
