Revisão da literatura : as perícias médicas no contexto da saúde do trabalhador

Abstract

Resumo: A medicina representa uma disciplina médica que se cruza com os setores da saúde e jurídico, prestando assistência em questões relacionadas às áreas cível, criminal, trabalhista e outras. Dentro do setor trabalhista, o foco da perícia médica é avaliar a capacidade de trabalho dos empregados e garantir seus direitos e responsabilidades, entre outras preocupações. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo explorar os achados da literatura científica sobre perícia médica pertinente à saúde dos trabalhadores. Conduzido como uma revisão de literatura abrangendo os anos de 2012 a 2018, o estudo utilizou as bases de dados MEDLINE, PubMed e LILACS, juntamente com documentos oficiais relevantes ao tópico em questão. Por fim, sete artigos que preencheram os critérios iniciais foram escolhidos e lidos na íntegra. A análise dos trabalhos selecionados permitiu a identificação de três eixos temáticos que representam os resultados da pesquisa: primeiro a importância da perícia médica para a saúde dos trabalhadores; segundo os desafios associados aos exames médicos relevantes para a saúde dos trabalhadores; e por terceiro a função do perito médico em casos jurídicos trabalhistas. A partir dos estudos revisados e da análise da proposta inicial para esta avaliação, foi confirmada a importância dos exames médicos em relação à saúde do trabalhador para a garantia de direitos. Além disso, este estudo destacou as lacunas na compreensão em torno da pesquisa sobre exames médicos dentro do âmbito da saúde do trabalhador, indicando a necessidade de uma investigação mais aprofundada, uma vez que esses tópicos têm importância social substancial

Abstract: Medicine represents a medical discipline that intersects with the health and legal sectors, providing assistance in matters related to civil, criminal, labor, and other areas. Within the labor sector, the focus of medical expertise is to assess employees’ work capacity and ensure their rights and responsibilities, among other concerns. This research aimed to explore the findings of the scientific literature on medical expertise relevant to workers’ health. Conducted as a literature review covering the years 2012 to 2018, the study used the MEDLINE, PubMed, and LILACS databases, along with official documents relevant to the topic in question. Finally, seven articles that met the initial criteria were selected and read in full. The analysis of the selected works allowed the identification of three thematic axes that represent the results of the research: first, the importance of medical expertise for workers’ health; second, the challenges associated with medical examinations relevant to workers’ health; and third, the role of the medical expert in labor legal cases. Based on the studies reviewed and the analysis of the initial proposal for this assessment, the importance of medical examinations in relation to workers’ health for the guarantee of rights was confirmed. Furthermore, this study highlighted gaps in understanding around research on medical examinations within the scope of workers’ health, indicating the need for further investigation, since these topics have substantial social importance
