Reisado do Cariri Cearense : política cultural para uma etnomusicologia do registro e memória da tradição oral

Abstract

Resumo: Esta dissertação está alicerçada na memória oral da musicalidade presente nas canções do Reisado do Cariri Cearense. O projeto abrange pesquisa com mestres e mestras da cultura, resultando em um acervo musical identificado durante a execução da obra musical Opereta Popular Canto de Reis. A problemática de pesquisa parte da seguinte pergunta: como as políticas culturais podem influenciar no registro, a preservação e a transmissão da memória oral e musical do Reisado do Cariri Cearense no campo da etnomusicologia? A pesquisa dedica-se à análise dos elementos dessa expressão cultural, abrangendo sua estrutura estética, os aspectos musicais e coreográficos, a caracterização dos personagens/brincantes, bem como os instrumentos musicais emblemáticos, tais como pífano, viola, sanfona, rabeca, zabumba, caixa e tambor. Do ponto de vista metodológico, esta dissertação adota a abordagem da etnomusicologia dialógica e do método LART, utilizando a observação participante, a realização de entrevistas e a aplicação de questionários dirigidos a mestres e mestras da tradição. Investigar as políticas públicas voltadas às culturas populares e tradicionais, analisando sua eficácia e impactos. Nesse sentido, o estudo propõe uma reflexão crítica sobre o papel do Reisado no fortalecimento da identidade cultural. Os principais resultados da pesquisa evidenciam a relevância do Reisado do Cariri Cearense como uma expressão das culturas populares e tradicionais para a identidade e a memória coletiva da região caririense. A análise por meio dos estudos da etnomusicologia dialógica revelou elementos musicais trazidos no cancioneiro que vem de tempos remotos, além dos elementos cênicos e performáticos que fazem parte dessa tradição, com destaque do papel central dos mestres e mestras na transmissão dos saberes e na continuidade do patrimônio imaterial. Além disso, o estudo constatou que as políticas públicas para esse segmento social ainda apresentam desafios significativos, especialmente no que se refere ao apoio contínuo às manifestações tradicionais, a pesquisa aponta a necessidade de estratégias mais eficazes para a valorização e sustentabilidade do Reisado, incluindo o fortalecimento de programas de fomento, registros etnográficos e ações formativas envolvendo escolas, comunidades e espaços de fomento a essa prática. Conclui-se que a etnomusicologia, ao se articular com a política cultural, surge como um campo fundamental para a reflexão sobre o papel da memória e do registro na manutenção das tradições orais. Assim, a pesquisa reforça a participação e envolvimento das comunidades na construção de políticas culturais voltadas ao reconhecimento, preservação e salvaguarda do Reisado.

Abstract: This dissertation is based on the oral memory of the musicality present in the songs of the Reisado do Cariri Cearense. The project includes research with masters of the culture, resulting in a musical collection identified during the performance of the musical work Opereta Popular Canto de Reis. The research problem starts from the following question: how can cultural policies influence the recording, preservation and transmission of the oral and musical memory of the Reisado do Cariri Cearense in the field of ethnomusicology? The research is dedicated to the analysis of the elements of this cultural expression, covering its aesthetic structure, musical and choreographic aspects, the characterization of the characters/players, as well as the emblematic musical instruments, such as the fife, viola, accordion, fiddle, zabumba, caixa and drum. From a methodological point of view, this dissertation adopts the approach of dialogic ethnomusicology and the LART method, using participant observation, interviews and the application of questionnaires directed to masters of the tradition. To investigate public policies aimed at popular and traditional cultures, analyzing their effectiveness and impacts. In this sense, the study proposes a critical reflection on the role of Reisado in strengthening cultural identity. The main results of the research highlight the relevance of Reisado do Cariri Cearense as an expression of popular and traditional cultures for the identity and collective memory of the Cariri region. The analysis through studies of dialogic ethnomusicology revealed musical elements brought in the songbook that comes from ancient times, in addition to the scenic and performative elements that are part of this tradition, highlighting the central role of masters and mistresses in the transmission of knowledge and the continuity of intangible heritage. In addition, the study found that public policies for this social segment still present significant challenges, especially with regard to continued support for traditional manifestations. The research points to the need for more effective strategies for the appreciation and sustainability of Reisado, including the strengthening of development programs, ethnographic records and training actions involving schools, communities and spaces that promote this practice. It is concluded that ethnomusicology, when articulated with cultural policy, emerges as a fundamental field for reflection on the role of memory and records in the maintenance of oral traditions. Thus, the research reinforces the participation and involvement of communities in the construction of cultural policies aimed at the recognition, preservation and safeguarding of Reisado.
