Divulgação científica no museu : uma análise da exposição

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa se encontra inserida na temática da Educação em Museus, tendo como objetivo geral, analisar a exposição "Maria Falce (de Macedo): Pioneira e Protagonista", evidenciando suas contribuições para a Divulgação Científica em uma perspectiva do Patrimônio Cultural da Ciência e Tecnologia de Mulheres. A referida exposição foi inaugurada em outubro de 2022 no Museu da História da Medicina do Paraná, localizado no prédio do hospital da Santa Casa de Misericórdia, em Curitiba/PR. Na condução desta pesquisa, optou-se por uma abordagem metodológica de natureza qualitativa e exploratória, orientada pelos fundamentos da pesquisa documental. Foi realizada uma análise documental da exposição, adotando as seguintes categorias analíticas: dispositivo; disposição de coisas; espaço; intenção constitutiva; desejo de tornar as coisas acessíveis; e preocupação de interessar sujeitos sociais. Os resultados indicaram que a expografia possibilitou retratar e problematizar os desafios que Maria Falce enfrentou em sua trajetória profissional, indicando as opressões e violências de gênero, colaborando para reflexões sobre as questões contemporâneas que as mulheres cientistas ainda vivem. Ao trazer relatos da médica, extraídos de trechos de entrevistas concedidas na época para os jornais, e exibidos em forma de material interativo, a exposição induziu um relevante debate sobre as questões de gênero na formação e atuação acadêmica e profissional. Ademais, a narrativa expositiva reforçou a importância de Maria Falce de Macedo como professora de Química e cientista, destacando suas contribuições para as áreas da educação e pesquisa. E, por fim, pudemos conhecer as ações feitas para a divulgação científica das mulheres no ambiente museológico e, também, como realizar uma abordagem que promova inclusão e representatividade feminina em outras exposições, programas educativos e ações. Constatamos que as abordagens e elementos verbais e não verbais apresentados, os dispositivos, suas disposições, o espaço, a intenção constituinte, entre outros aspectos na exposição, desempenharam um papel importante para a valorização do Patrimônio Cultural da Ciência e da Tecnologia de Mulheres. Tal estudo pode contribuir para a ampliação e aprofundamento do conhecimento sobre divulgação científica e patrimônio cultural da ciência e tecnologia a partir da trajetória e atuação profissional de mulheres

Abstract: This research is inserted in the theme of Education in Museums within the scope of Scientific Dissemination and Cultural Heritage of Science and Technology, with the general objective of analyzing the exhibition "Maria Falce (de Macedo): Pioneer and Protagonist", highlighting her contributions to Scientific Dissemination from a perspective of the Cultural Heritage of Women's Science and Technology. This exhibition opened in October 2022 and is on display at the Museum of the History of Medicine of Paraná, located in the building of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia hospital, in Curitiba/PR. When conducting this research, we opted for a methodological approach of a qualitative and exploratory nature, guided by the foundations of documentary research. A documentary analysis of the exhibition was carried out, adopting the following analytical categories: device; arrangement of things; space; constitutive intention; desire to make things accessible; and concern to interest social subjects. The results indicated that the expography made it possible to portray and problematize the challenges that Maria Falce faced in her professional career, indicating gender-based oppression and violence, contributing to reflections on contemporary issues that women scientists still face. By bringing reports from the doctor, extracted from excerpts of interviews given at the time to newspapers, and displayed in the form of interactive material, the exhibition induced a relevant debate on gender issues in academic and professional training and performance. Furthermore, the expository narrative reinforced the importance of Maria Falce de Macedo as a Chemistry teacher and scientist, highlighting her contributions to the areas of education and research. And, finally, we were able to learn about the actions taken to promote the scientific dissemination of women in the museum environment and, also, how to carry out an approach that promotes female inclusion and representation in other exhibitions, educational programs and actions. We found that the verbal and non-verbal approaches and elements presented, the devices, their arrangements, the space, the constituent intention, among other aspects in the exhibition, played an important role in valuing the Cultural Heritage of Science and Technology and Women. Such a study can contribute to expanding and deepening knowledge about scientific dissemination and the cultural heritage of science and technology
