Propulsor intramaxilar-maxilar e/ou mandibular : proposição e relato de caso clínico, Padrão III com Classe III de Angle = Intramaxillary-maxillary and/or mandibular propellant: proposition and report of a clinical case, Pattern III with Angle Class III

Abstract

Resumo: Introdução: Um dispositivo inédito denominado Propulsor Intramaxilar-maxilar/mandibular como nova opção de tratamento para pacientes portadores de Classe III maxilar, Classe II mandibular e Birretrusões. Trata-se de um dispositivo simples, criado pelo Prof. João M. Baptista1,2, composto de três partes, (1. Tubo telescópico, 2. Mola de NiTi ou TMA e 3. Haste), capaz de produzir mecânica de propulsão em uma ou ambas as arcadas, tendo como ancoragem mini-implantes extra-alveolares IZC e/ou Buccal shelf. Objetivo: o objetivo do presente trabalho é descrever os componentes do Propulsor e explicar sua instalação por intermédio do relato de um caso clínico. Conclusão: O Propulsor Intramaxilar-maxilar e/ou mandibular ancorado em mini-implantes extra-alveolares – IZC e/ou Buccal shelf – é indicado no tratamento das más oclusões de Classe III, Classe II e Birretrusões, por intermédio de movimentações dento-alveolares das arcadas dentárias, como um todo. O relato de um caso clínico, diagnosticado como Padrão III com Classe III de Angle, ângulo alto, demonstra as possibilidades clínicas do dispositivo em proposição.

Abstract: Introduction: An unprecedented device called Intramaxillary-maxillary and/or mandibular Propulsion as a new treatment option for patients with maxillary Class III, mandibular Class II and Biretrusions. It is a simple device, created by Prof. João M. Baptista1,2, composed of three parts: 1. Telescopic tube; 2. NiTi or TMA spring and 3. Stalk, capable of mechanical propulsion in one or both arches, anchored by IZC extra-alveolar mini-implants and/or buccal shelf. Objective: The objective of this work is to describe the components of the Thruster and explain its installation through the report of a clinical case. Conclusion: The intramaxillary-maxillary and/or mandibular Propulsor anchored in extra-alveolar mini-implants - IZC and/or Buccal shelf - is indicated in the treatment of Class III, Class II and Biretrusion malocclusions, through dentoalveolar movements. of the dental arches, as a whole. The clinical case report, diagnosed as Pattern III with Angle Class III, high angle, demonstrates the clinical possibilities of the proposed device.
